Concern for our living environment This book wasn't what I expected, as I thought it would be filled with a lot of how-to-live properly and recycle or whatever, but it was more than that. The author writes with the basics of doing the best with what we have. He has a few repeated thoughts, such a consumption, and global warming, but also humans need to slow down. Take a breath, and use what we need and not to be obsessive or greedy. It was more of an eye-opener, not about what people are doing, but what we aren't doing. A well-written book.

This is a very interesting and relevant book. I certainly read for enjoyment, but it’s nice to learn something along the way, and I learnt quite a few things reading this. It’s full of interesting facts and information, and it definitely makes you stop and think about your own impact on the earth, and many other things about our daily lives. One of the things I agree with is we should all turn off the TV and Wii-FM and read a book, and learn something new. It also hit home reading the section on pollution, and I experienced it first hand from being in the Navy and sailing into some of the major cities around the world, and we should all being doing more to reduce impact it’s having. Ken Kroes has a great writing style, and I can see he has put a lot of work into creating this fabulous book. I initially sat down to read a few chapters, and I found myself a few hours later still reading it. Overall it’s very well put together, and I found it well worth a read. Certainly worth the 5/5 Star rating.
