The "Morganville Vampires" books, despite their short page count ("Feast of Fools" came in at under 300 pages) manage a balance between development, plot, action, and dialogue that is rarely accomplished well even in books twice the page count. I remember a time when I feared that Claire's point of view might become tedious, that her bookishness and logical internalization might interfere with the direction of the books. Boy was I wrong, and "Feast of Fools" shows just how far young Claire has come: from a shy, reserved teenager to a genuine heroine who is smart, loyal, stands by her convictions, and yet a part of her dreads the role she's been given and wishes she could be a normal teenager. Even Eve, Michael, and Shane have grown to understand that their experiences in the town of Morganville have to be pushed aside to defeat Mr. Bishop. The best thing about "Feast of Fools" is that the interactions between Claire, Eve, Michael and Shane have evolved into such a tangible, intricate understanding and their relationship and care for one another shows. Michael, still dealing with his vampirism, is fighting to stay true to himself and hiding the parts of him that crave blood and put his friends in danger. Eve is forced to deal with her family when tragedy strikes, and is still unsure how to handle her deadly brother. And Shane is visibly trying to accept what Michael has become, and his relationship with Claire becomes conflicted when one of Mr. Bishop's vampires tries to control him, body and soul. Like the prior Morganville series, this story was darn near impossible to put down. It's also not a stand-alone--so beware, you're going to want to have "Lord of Misrule" close at hand, because I promise you will not want to wait too long to find out what happens next. This would be a great TV series.

Since the arrival of Bishop, Morganville has gotten stranger than it already seems. Claire's parents have decided to move to Morganville, much to her utter surprise. Not only that but there's an upcoming event called the Feast of Fools. As the town of Morganville prepares for the feast, Claire has a feeling that something's not right about it. Awesome series that you should definitely read.

When I first picked up this series I was unsure of what I would find. I was looking for a new exciting series. Once I picked it up though I couldn't put it down! When Clarie was struggling to find her way in her new town I felt it all with her. The author is very desriptive and good with emotion. Book four has been one of my favorites so far. The action is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole book. Especially when she becomes friends with a crazy old vampire who is losing his mind! Trust me this is one series you will absolutely love!

One of the best of the series so far. Really moves the plot forward and brings more Myrnin (who I can't help but love)! Several surprises in this book.

In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It is only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the evil trap Mr. Bishop has set for Morganville.

Rachel Caine does it again with the 4th installment of The Morganville Vampires Series, Feast Of Fools! With the arrival of Bishop the semi-peaceful town of Morganville is turned upside down and things don't look good for the members of the Glass House. Can Claire and her friends come out of this alive...? Okay if you haven't started this series, which I don't see why you haven't, otherwise why would you be reading a review for the 4th book in a series... Anyway if you haven't started this series, you totally should!!

Wow when i first started this series i wasn't sure about it. But after the first book all i could think was i luv this series!!!!!! <333 Claire is definitley someone i could look up too. Eve is unique in the series, theres just something about her that people would just always want to be around. Shane has that wild wreckless bad boy behavior yet he can be really the sensitve caring guy at the same time. Michael hmmm hes one special guy that is always looking out for claire, he takes his big brother role serioulsy ooo and you cant forget hes super sexi ;) I'd definitley reccomend thiss series!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this book, the series is amazing. I was not going to read this series till my sister in law told me that it was really good. I suggest this series to anybody who likes to read stories with vampires in them.

I continue to enjoy the stories in the Morganville series. Each book brings new dilemmas and new struggles. This time it was probably the worst and I think this set of problems is going to last more than one book. We've come to a point where the vampires and the humans of Morganville may just have a common enemy and have to work together to save their town. This poses an interesting set of choices for the members of Glass House. I'm interested to see how it will play out after the events at the end of Feast of Fools. Be warned, there is another cliffhanger. It's not as huge as some of the others, but it will still leave you wanting the next book sooner rather than later.

I wanted to read Feast of Fools because The Morganville Vampire series has become an addiction lately, and I had to know what was happening with Claire the main character, how she would be selfless and help her friends. I also wanted to see more of her romance with Shane, because I think they are a great compliment to one another.       In this one we have new players in town. Amelie's dad and his entourage come in and take a special interest in Claire and the Glass House. They were scary and imposing and even Oliver seemed to be toeing the line and concerned about their presence in town.     Claire's parents are also in tow, and that makes life all that much more difficult for Claire as they move into one of the founder houses and are influenced and subdued by Bishop (A's dad). They want for Claire to move back with them and things just get tangled because they seem oblivious to the danger in some ways, but in others they are concerned and protective of Claire.     Loved getting to see more of Eve as well as her romance with Michael. She is as goth as ever and he is adjusting to being a vampire (previously a ghost who only had form at night and couldn't leave the house).  The friendship and loyalty in their house is great to read about and makes me a little envious.     The whole plot line with Ysandre bothered me of course. I hated that she had that sort of power, and that humans had no defenses against the mind play. I really hope that something develops there, or they could just kill her. That too.      Myrnin is in this one too and he amuses me. I like how he is described, powerful yet also so vulnerable. He shows a side to Claire that not many others see and everything revealed from his past, his great mind, his disease, all make him a very captivating side character.      As usual, Rachel left me wanting to read the next book right away. Her endings tie up certain plot lines and then leave others open enough to crave the next one and get a taste of what the characters will be up against.    Bottom Line: Loving the series, can't get enough.
