Beth Moore has a great talent for writing. In Feathers from my Nest, she kept me interested with mostly humourous tales about herself and her family. Many times I found myself laughing and once crying. I took notes on her insights about marriage and on being a godly example and teacher for her girls. This is a good book to read a chapter at a time and reflect on the lesson learned before going on to the next chapter. It could easily be used for a group discussion.

A very touching and thought provoking book. As her last child leaves for college, Beth Moore writes about the joys and pains of watching her children become adults. I laughed, and I cried, and I couldn't wait to to read the next chapter. I don't have any children yet, but now know that I have a lot to look forward to. It also gave me insight as to how my mom may have felt while raising me. I passed this one on to my mom, and if she doesn't get this book for the rest of the families at mother's day, I will!

There have been many books written on reflection - this one is a keeper. Children are precious and will learn from our mistakes as well as their own. Consequences and daily tasks will help us all learn to live better in this crazy world. Beth Moore is a gift from God and we should all listen with a bent ear on anything she has to say.
