World at Risk investigates some of the major environmental challenges that we face today. These challenges arise from a rapidly growing world population, the pollution and waste generated by human activity, and our demands on Earth's limited resources. The series examines the nature and causes of these problems and looks at some of the ways in which we might respond.
Feeding the World investigates food production in a world where the population is increasing. It explores the issue of rising obesity rates in the developed world and the problem of hunger in developing nations, where nearly a third of the world's population does not have enough to eat. It shows what we can all do to ensure a balanced and sustainable supply of food for future generations.
