Who can Sam trust when she can’t trust her own mind?
Samantha Bevans is having the best sex of her life—but it’s not with her husband. Fortunately for her marriage, the affair is all in her mind. Isn’t it? As an empath, Sam senses other people’s emotions, and her connection to the man with the chiseled face and haunting eyes seems so real.
But Sam has no time for her own emotional baggage with a serial killer loose in Pittsburgh. The killer is targeting dancers at a strip club where she used to bartend, back when drugs were the only cure for the torment her abilities caused. As a member of a special task force, Sam uses her talents to sense the victims’ final memories. Just when she thought the case was complex enough, she discovers one of the victims saw her fantasy man before she died.
With each new revelation, Sam spirals more out of control. Death emotions call to her, wanting to share their secrets, but when she finally discovers the truth, will Sam have lost herself completely? Or will she figure out who she was all along?

Samantha has been dreaming with a smoking hot man who is not her husband. What happen when the man of your dreams is not the one you are supposed to love? What would you do when dreams seem more than mere fantasies? What if somehow you suspect that some of your memories were altered? Feeling Death is a fantastic paranormal book with a hot romance and extraordinary characters. It’s a story that will surprise you with every new twist and every new revelation. Just when you think you figure it out, you will discover how wrong you were. The plot is amazing to say the least, is really original and the idea of people with paranormal powers is very engaging. Is well planned and excellent written, with an attractive style and a way of telling the story that makes you feel every emotion and situations. The book is for and adult audience not only because of the sex involved but also because the characters are adults. This is people dealing with problems like love, marriage, relationships and all around a paranormal environment where special abilities are real. Because the book is labeled as an erotic romance I will have to say something about it. It’s true that the book has explicit sex, with some scenes that rise the temperature to the sky. In my opinion they are perfect, not only they are exceptionally written but also well placed. They appear at the right time and not all the book is about sex. The characters are amazing. If you read any other book by the author you know she does a great job creating likeable and real characters. Samantha is a woman I love, she is a mess at times but it’s understandable (I mean, anyone would go crazy in her place) but she is also a strong and independent person. Austin and Nixon are two hot men with great personalities, similar and different at the same time, with flaws that make them more human and real. And of course, there is a bad guy. Who, let me tell you, is really evil and some of the scenes that described his work made a good job scaring me. There are so many great things about this book but I don’t want to spoil nothing. But I do have to mention that the ending will leave you wanting for more. Overall, this is an excellent paranormal romance. Recommendable for all the paranormal-erotic-romance lovers. *** I received an ecopy from the author in exchange of an honest review. ***
I need to be really clear with you all here… I loved D.T Dyllins The PJ Stone Gates Trilogy (I was lucky enough to Beta read the series for her) so when she asked if I would like to read Feeling Death I think I died and went to fangirl heaven. Then I started thinking well what if I don’t like it. Well thankfully I didn’t have to worry because Dyllin has done it again! She has written another book that grabs the reader, sinks its claws into you and refuses to let you go until you devour the entire story. I couldn’t step away from this, I tried, but I failed miserably. As a busy mom of four young kids I do have periods of time where I’m incredibly busy, the weekend is one of them. My list of chores that need doing is as long as my arm but every time I leave the book to go do a job it calls to me. My head never really leaves the book, I’m always wondering what’s going to happen with Sam. Which means I’m never gone for too long. This is such an easy read to fall into, and fall into it you do. We begin right in the middle of the story with events unfolding before our eyes much like they do for Sam. There is no awkward 3 chapters worth of back story to fight your way through before the action begins. Sam’s story is a fairly complicated one, and in the beginning when things start to unravel she is overwhelmed, not fully able to process what’s going on, and as the reader being dragged along for the ride you kinda feel the same way. But soon enough though it all becomes clear. Sam’s world is very much like ours except some people in her world have special abilities. Some people use their abilities for good and others not so much. This isn’t your everyday average paranormal, this is something more. It is dark and gritty in places, and helluva sexy in others. With the detailed sexy scenes this book is most definitely adult! I honestly cannot wait until I can get my hands on the next instalment in this series.. I know, I know I’m incredibly impatient, but it really isn’t that often that I find a writer that draws me into their books so completely but there were bits in this book that were only hinted at and I need to see how they develop.
3.5* stars A paranormal romance nicely weird, wacky and surprising. A somewhat complex paranormal story that begins as a police investigation. Very quickly, the reader learn that Sam is a kind of profiler with the ability to read people's emotions including the ones of victims before they die. In parallel to her job, in her love life, she is haunted by a man whom she fantasizes about. The problem is ... She is married and the man with whom she has erotic dreams is not her husband. Worse, reality and fantasy begin to have difficulty to distinguish in her daily life. And when you see the kind of super boiling hot dreams this young woman is having, at her place, I would spend all my days sleeping too! Everything is done by the author to show Sam as psychologically disturbed. Her work undercover in the special task force is stressful and maybe too much for her to handle. One feels that she is about to crack. Then, the lies began to be raised by voices in the her own head and there ... This is where the story really begins... And you, as the reader, you are discovering that you have been wronged in your deductions by the imagination of the author. Really weel done! Now, there is a secret society, a serial killer came to avenge the death of his loved one, prophetic dreams and destinies thwarted. A beautiful, confusing mess that make sens at the end. This erotic thriller is sensual while being dark and scary. I liked that the heroine is not necessarily a good and has a great deal of shadows inside her. Reading Samatha's story it's like walking on a wire. Everything can change without ever knowing on which side. I also admit that the end has puzzled me, especially when I saw that there would be a sequel .... My curiosity is piqued and I will definitively put my hands on it ... A pretty amazing romantic paranormal thriller. Lucie newbooksonmyselves.blogspot.fr
