Tess Grady doesn’t do playboy cowboys and as far as she’s concerned that’s exactly what Gage McBride is. Tess wants steady, stable, and secure in a man and Gage seems to be the farthest thing from that. When women come up to a man in a bar and slap him, that’s got to be a good sign that he’s not the one for her, or a suitable male role model for her young daughter. After losing her husband in a car accident, Tess isn’t even sure she can love again.

Gage has been waiting for the right woman, and he’s sure Tess is the one. The problem is that she believes the reputation he has somehow earned after being betrayed by the one woman he ever loved. He’s not the “cowboy with a woman in every town” that Tess believes he is and he intends to prove it to her.

Tess starts to fall for the sexy cowboy when things go desperately wrong. Harvey Norton, a man from Gage’s past is seeking revenge. Not only did Gage help to put Harvey behind bars for embezzling, but Tess, the woman Harvey is attracted to, seems to be falling for Gage.

Gage’s life is in danger and soon Tess’s is, too. Gage must save Tess while at the same time trying to stay alive.

I didn’t learn this was part of a series until after I started listening to this. It reads excellently as a standalone; I would not have known it was a series. I want to check out the rest of the series but because I liked it, not because I need to. Fencing You In was a great book. I loved the characters, well, almost all of them and the story is written to be a smooth read. There were some parts where I thought “Seriously, can she be that dumb?” but overall it was suspenseful as expected. I have nothing negative to say at all. I listen to the audio version of Fencing You In, which is narrated by David Quimby and he did an excellent job narrating. He has an “easy on the ears” voice. This makes it a relaxing book to listen too. Overall, I rate Fencing You In with 4 ½ stars.

This is my favorite of the Ridding Tall series so far. I empathized with Tess since the first book. She is a wonderful character that you cannot help but want the best for. The action in this book kept me reading when I should have gone to bed. My one wish was that the story was longer and introduced more of the McBride family. You get a little bit of family, but as this was the third book and all the men are McBride's it would be nice to see more family dynamics.

I had been looking forward to Tess's story since meeting her with Megan and Ryan. I was not disappointed. It was good to see the café and Necters were doing well and 'mom' also getting along okay without 'dad'. I was a bit disappointed not to see more of the family and seeing how they were, ect. For me it is a big part of reading a series although each book can stand on its own. I would rate this for mature audiences only. There is some mild BDSM.

## I enjoyed this book for the most part. The story was good and the characters were likeable as well. The hero was definitely my favorite part of this book. He was incredibly hot, especially when he starts telling Tess things like "You're mine" or "No other man touches you". Not in a "god, he's such a jerk" way but in a loving, alpha possessive way. The only problem was that the story felt rushed toward the latter part of the book. I wish the author would've developed the relationship between Gage and Tess a little more. They just started getting interesting together when BAM! they are getting married. Still a terrific read.

The "Riding Tall" books are a very good series. I've been waiting for Tess's story since the first book. I fell in love with Tess and her daughter Jenny from their first seen in "Branded for You". Gage is. Hot alpha male who knows what he wants and he wants Tess. This book had everything a good book should...good story line, romance, laughter, tears, suspense and great sex. I can't wait for the next book.
