Impossible to complete assigned readings when stories have neither chapter numbers nor story names. Now I will have to find and purchase a version with chapters and/or story names

This book was written in 1896. The man in you cover photo was born in 1924. He is obviously a different James Baldwin, NOT the author. Do you seriously expect people to pay you money for public domain works when you can't even get the right person on the cover?

The stories are the type that used to appeared in the readers of our parents and grandparents, but they have been retold in James Baldwin's prose. Perfect for reading to young readers - and the adult won't be bored.

Stories are very short, and are not that great.

This was a great book. Many wonderful stories to read. There was one thing, however, that should not have been. The author spelled Julius Caesar's name Cesar, instead of Caesar. Overall, the stories were wonderful, richly told, and credible.
