No reader of this book will be able to remain unconcerned about the chilling precedent her case sets and its implications for the future. It's a moving and compelling reminder of why we need to defend those who cannot speak for themselves and uphold the sanctity of all human life!"

-Jim Daly, President, Focus on the Family

"As a quadriplegic, I thank God for courageous advocates like my friend David Gibbs who hold fast to life values no matter how severe the circumstances. He was always difficult, and Alzheimer's didn't help. He was an old-fashioned Catholic, so we got him to Mass every week. But I had his medical power of attorney, and we discussed his wishes in detail.. Sadly, the lovely Christian state of GA didn't care about his wishes. Had I not had the medical PoA, it is possible that some judge would have ordered a feeding tube once he lost his swallowing reflec, and since he had Alzheimer's, there might have been nothing I could do. Oh, and that state has NO help for caregivets, no respite care, at all. It was me and my husband doing everything and to hute a sitter was12 an hour, and we were living on a fixed income. I am very glad I life in the NE now. When it comes my turn to die, some right-wing Christian judge won't be likely to tell me how and when I am allowed to die.

Every person who cares about America and sees what is happening to it should read this book. Terri Schiavo was denied basic rights that are afforded to each citizen of this country. In fact she was denied rights that are assured to convicted criminals and even animals. After reading David Gibbs's account of what actually transpired, the reader is left with total disbelief and anger that a radical attorney and a negligent, lazy judge with sleazy political connections could starve and dehydrate to death a loving human being who was no longer loved by her estranged husband. Never in a million years would I have imagined this could happen in the USA.

This book is a must read for any person or persons who is alive and breathing--whether on their own or with assistance. This book clearly defines the principles of moral obligation that each American citizen has not only to themselves but to all human beings. The book is elequent and meaningful, well written, heartfelt, and above all, it is an honest and first hand account of EVERYTHING that transpired during the 'murder' of Teri. The author, is to be commended on his graciouseness and fairness to all parties. Because of this, it does make one sit up and take notice of what will be or could be next for any one of us. LIFE-is the most precious thing we all have in common, we are not to judge the quality of life--just celebrate it!!! Buy an extra copy and leave it on a coffee table in a waiting room--it may just end up in the hands of another Michael Schivo.
