I love stories where you’re being sucked in into a family! This is another lovely read about Morris and Amber. They are made for each other but of course there are some bumps in the road. With a little help from the Winter’s family everything works out in the end. I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

5 stars I received a free copy of the novella Review of Willow Valley book 7: Fighting for Love by Christine Kingsley and this review was given freely. Ex-Marine Morris Winters moves back to Willow Valley after 6 years and back into the arms of his matchmaking family and his ex-girlfriend Amber's life. A fast paced second chance at love Christian romance with interfering sisters, sage family advice, a little creepy rivalry, a great mix of family drama, a rocky romance and a happy ending.

This is a new author for me but I felt comfortable jumping into the middle of the Winters family. Amber Logan and Morris Winters were together in high school and Amber is still friends with the family even though Morris trampled her heart when he left. Now he’s back and she’s surprised to still feel for him. Morris has been gone and is no longer a boy but is now a man with his own problems to bear. Can the two find the love that never really died? Great characters. I loved the Winters family and will be going back to read previous books especially since I now know some of them. This does work as a stand-alone with small town values and a warm enthusiastic family that can’t help but meddle in each other’s business. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

Amber Logan was abandoned by her father before she was born and Morris when they were 18, so she has trouble trusting. When Morris returns after spending 6 years with the Marines he’s not sure if he wants to stay in Willow Valley, but he becomes close to his family again and starts a new relationship with Amber. When he tells her about a job offer in California, she feels like she’s being abandoned by him all over again. Can Amber overcome her trust issues and open her heart to the risk of loving Morris again? Will Morris work through his PTSD and feeling like he’s still watching out for threats everywhere and accept that he can be a good father and husband before he loses Amber for good? They were both young when Morris broke up with her and needed the time apart to discover what they wanted out of life and what would make them happy. If they had married and Amber lived on a military base while Morris was in service overseas she would have missed her grandmother and his family and might have come to resent him and never started her event planning business. Morris might not have appreciated Amber the way he does now after 6 years apart. Plenty of humor and romantic moments in this second chance love story. Maggie and Jason both seem like strong willed people and I can’t wait to read their story next.

Truly heartwarming, sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging and passionate romantic journey that had me in the edge of my seat from beginning to end and left me wanting more..... Loved it! Amber and Morris get a wonderful second chance after six years apart... his sisters are clients of her event planning business and they are stuck together to decorate for his sisters show and sparks reignite (or did they really die) .... Loved every heart pounding moment.

They had been childhood sweethearts but it ended badly. Now they are in the same place and they both realise their feelings are still strong for each other. See if it can work a second time around I received an advanced copy and I enjoyed it so much that I want to review

This is my first book in this series and I enjoyed it. The author does a good job of giving some history for those who haven't read the earlier books but I think I would have enjoyed it more and been more emotionally involved in the characters if I had read the rest of the series.

This was an enjoyable book about young love and a second chance. Amber and Morris had a teenage love but when he left to join the Marines they had to go their separate ways to grow up. Now back in the same town they need to get to know the new grown-up version of themselves. The love is there but so are the past hurts and after effects of the military. Lots of love in this book with a big loving extended family helping this young couple. Good characters and a good storyline make this a great book to read.

Amber's father left before she was born. Morris fear of not being good enough. Morris joined the Marines 6 years ago and broke Amber's heart when he didn't nask her to go with him. Now he is back in town. Will they get over their fears that are keeping them apart and let them have their second chance at Love? A well written story nwith believable characters. I enjoyed breading and looking forward to the next book in this series. joy943

Kingsley brings readers back to Willow Valley, the small town where it all fell apart for Amber six years ago. Morris is back from the military, but is he here to stay? Can they overcome their shared past and have a bright future? The characters are nicely delivered and the story is short, but well written. I recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

Fighting For Love. Christine Kingsley. Welcome to the Winters family, all of them brighten up the town’s history. Hearing the voice of an old love, still had Amber mesmerized. Morris been gone six years and his sisters wanted to pamper him. He had been in the military, now home for good. Seeing how uneasy Amber was with the guy who approached her, he came up saying she was with him..Wishing it were true, dating others, with thoughts only of him. His eyes held secrets, could he fit into being a civilian again. Italian night dinner with their family was a highlight for Amber, would it change now. Beautiful told story, of feeling he wasn’t good enough for, he’d hurt again. She felt bad making him think she had expectations, he had to meet. Readers will love this story, of a love that still was there ,for Amber, and Morris. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Reuniting after heartbreak 6 years ago. Amber has put up her walls, Morris has to get past insecurities. All together makes for a wonderful read. Full of heart, romance, humor, small-town and family. Would highly recommend this book and the series. All are stand alone but a wonderful series. I received a free copy of this book
