About the Author

Bio for Jonathan Williams

Jonathan was a teaching pastor for over 35 years with Great Commission Churches where he also served on the National Leadership Council and the Doctrinal Ministry Committee. He is the founder and president of WGS Ministries which advances life change, builds a biblical worldview, and connects people to God's Story.

He currently focuses on bringing the narrative of Scripture to the world in his weekly story telling program Stories of the Master and his video, The Renewal of All Things.

With Stories of the Master, Jonathan takes on the role of the storyteller, dramatizing the story of Christ and the stories he told for audiences around the world. He brings in cultural and historical details which Westerners often miss, but details which make the stories come alive. The 80 stories trace the life of Christ from his birth to his enthronement at the right hand of God. These stories and the video are now being translated into numerous languages for worldwide distribution. He is currently heard in Albania, Kosovo, and Nepal in their native languages and worldwide on Trans World Radio. He is also in discussion with television executives to turn the stories into a dramatic television series.

Jonathan is a teacher and the author of several books including The Women Jesus Loved, The Mystery of Mary Magdalene, and Changing the Stories of the World. He is currently working on a new book called Sovereign Story. He is also the teacher on the historic Heaven & Home Hour program and his new program, Word of God, Speak.

He attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri and the University of Missouri in Kansas City where he majored in ancient history and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity Seminary. He was married to his first wife, Dee, for 27 years, who is now with the Lord. They have three children and six grandchildren. God has blessed Jonathan with another wonderful wife, Kathleen, who also loves the Lord and His people. She is a retired social worker from the San Antonio State Hospital, assists Jonathan with his ministry, caters, and is a private practice social work therapist.
