Murder and obsession... A chilling tale of murder and obsession. With more twists and turns than a curlicue. Just when I finally had a suspect that person turned up dead! Final Trimester kept me glued to the pages and I managed to finish all 400+ pages in a single day, actually more like late morning to late evening. I didn't always understand Jodi's own obsession, dogmatically sticking to her theories even when the evidence was in direct opposition. But I did understand her desire to just get a killer stopped before he could harm anyone else. And when the killer is finally unmasked, well, it gave me some chills. Dianna T. Benson definitely has an action-packed medical thriller in Final Trimester. It is quite a start for a series that sounds like it will only get more interesting as it progresses. Secrets are revealed on the last pages that leave the reader wanting more... This was my first Dianna T. Benson book and I'll be curious to find out what might happen next to the Quigley triplets. (I received a copy of this book from the author via The Book Club Network in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Final Trimester is my first book by Dianna T. Benson and I am hooked! Wow, just wow. Benson takes us inside mind of the serial killer and his battle with the voices he thinks are God and the devil—one of the creepier villains I have read in a while. I connected with Jodi on all levels. Jodi is a paramedic who gets suspicious of the death of a pregnant woman and then starts to see a connection between the deaths of two pregnant women. Jodi has been working with Nate who is a Detective with the Myrtle Beach PD for over a year. She tells him of her suspicions. Nate cannot find a connection and tells Jodi to let it go, but that does not stop Jodi from researching further. This instigates a communication link between them that was not there before. Nate becomes the lead detective on the case and he realizes the serial killer has Jodi in his sights. Diana makes her characters human even in a Christian book where they have made mistakes and are dealing with them. After reading Final Trimester, I realized Diane is going to be one of those authors that you never know what she's going to do next. There's plot twist and then there's “oh my gosh I can't believe you just did that.” There is so much more to share but I do not want to ruin any of the plot twists or surprises for you. I highly recommend Final Trimester if you like edge of your seat suspense. I also think it would be great for a book club discussion.Final Trimester is my first book by Dianna T. In this first book in the Quidley Triplets Series, author Dianna T. Benson hurdles the reader into a bizarre tale of suspense involving paramedic Jodi Duncan as she encounters young women who are in the third or final trimester of their pregnancy as they die. Unable to help these the babies they are so near delivering, Jodi spirals into a virtually uncontrollable emotional situation. As paramedic Jodi Duncan navigates her world of responding to the emergencies of others, she begins to discover connection between her dying patients. In so doing, the possibility that there is a serial killer on the loose becomes a nightmare for the detective assigned the case, Nate Quigley, and Jodi. So begins the pursuit of truth as to the real situation in each of these untimely deaths. Dianna Benson has again proven to be a skilled author and weaver of fiction as real as the files of the local police station or headlines of the local newspaper. The story is suspenseful, sad, frightening in intensity, and surreal in emotional psychosis. Watching or reading the news, we learn of psychopaths that engage in the kidnapping and abuse of young women to satiate their own sick perversions. Final Trimester reads like the back story of one of these terrible news happenings. This is a work of fiction but alerts the reader to be ever diligent for traces of behavior that might lead to a situation where young women are being used and abused. And in this story’s case, murdered. Final Trimester is book one in the Quigley Triplets Series. So the promise of more exciting reads awaits fans of Dianna T. Benson. We can’t wait, Dianna! Is this a book to hand a teen? I probably wouldn't. Is it a good read and one to be shared? Yes. This is a good, clean read but pretty intense. I received a complimentary copy to facilitate this review. Opinions expressed are solely my own.

With spellbinding suspense, Final Trimester is one wild ride! I really enjoyed the intense storyline and at the end, I couldn’t put the book down and am anxiously awaiting the next in the series. Nate is haunted by memories of the past and drowns himself in his job. But there comes a time when a taunting serial killer and a new found friend may bring him back to life. Jodi has decided God’s said no to her being a mother the conventional way so she’s going to give all she can with her paramedic job and her foster parenting. She has hopes of adopting a child but with a serial killer targeting pregnant women, Jodi’s heightened senses are consuming her with finding the killer. And then there’s the psychotic serial killer who has targeted not only pregnant women, but now wants Jodi, too. Dianna Benson weaves an powerful and thrilling story that will leave the reader wanting more. Final Trimester, the first in the Quigley Triplets Series is a must read! I received this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

Final Trimester by Dianna T. Benson was a chilling, edge of your seat thriller. I will note that I was disturbed by the subject matter: a serial killer killing pregnant women, that being said, the author’s writing was riveting and kept me turning the pages. As I was reading, I was literally jolted by some of the events that transpired in this suspense filled novel. There were shocking twists and turns that occurred throughout the book and I did not guess who the killer was until the moment he was revealed. This story is about Jodi, who is a paramedic, and Nate, a cop, who want to stop a serial killer from killing again. Their hearts are at risk with each other and their lives are at risk when the killer fixates on them. This is the first of a trilogy, and the author sets up the next books nicely. You may not want to read this one before bed. It really is creepy enough that it may keep you awake. I received this book from The Book Club Network, Inc. (TBCN), however the opinions are my own.

Final Trimester by Dianna T. Benson is the first novel in the Quigley Triplets Trilogy series. Benson has written a gripping suspense novel that races full-on to the last page. This story will not disappoint. Dedicated paramedic, Jodi Duncan, harbors a secret from her earlier years which compels her to foster children and to seek to adopt a child. First to add up crime scene evidence and propose that similar deaths of pregnant women are the result of a demented serial killer, she becomes the target of his fascination. Detective Nate Quigley, fighting his own battle with the past and a tragedy for which he blames himself, slowly is drawn into the murder theory and into Jodi’s life. Each has reason to resist romantic interest in the other; yet, fate binds them to the victims’ lives and to each other. With her life on the line, Nate can no longer deny his feelings for her. Will there be a happy resolution for them or will a serial killer triumph? The reader will not want the story to end, but there is more entertainment to follow in two more books in the Quigley Triplets Trilogy. I recommend this book to any reader who enjoys a well-crafted thriller. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. What an amazing novel, one that could be a nightmare cut from today’s headlines. Final Trimester, first novel in Dianna T. Benson’s “The Quigley Triplets Series” begins with the mysterious death of a wife in her final weeks of pregnancy. Then another was murdered. Within the tale, we witness the killer’s thought life in which he believes he hears both God and satan, One for him and one against him. When Detective Nate Quigley finally sees the pattern that seasoned Paramedic Jodi Duncan suspected, the serial killer begins to set his sights on Jodi. Nobody wanted her to step out of her boundaries as a Paramedic, but in spite of escalation of the threats against her, she just can’t ignore what is happening. This is a well-plotted, tightly woven novel that is chilling in its intensity, gripping the reader and refusing to let go. Dianna T. Benson is a master craftswoman, drawing the reader in from the first page. The terror mounts as this Christian woman seeks God to help her through. Will Detective Quigley return his focus to the Lord for help? This intense thriller is not for the faint of heart…especially as we careen toward the ending with the stakes being incredibly high… My favorite character is Paramedic Jodi Duncan. She is passionate about her work, relies on the Lord for direction, and wrestles through her challenges and broken dreams with His help. Detective Quigley is not one of my favorites until much later in the novel, as he gives the impression that he thinks himself smarter than even a highly-experienced paramedic like Jodi. Yet as his heartaches are revealed, this reader could more easily understand his actions – he is as wounded as Jodi, yet still in need of healing. Other characters that are pertinent to the story are perfectly developed as needed for their roles. If you appreciate Christian thrillers – or even masterfully written crime fiction that doesn’t include language and unnecessary scenes of physical intimacy or innuendos that are common in mainstream mysteries, don’t miss Final Trimester. Ms. Benson writes with the best of them, blending faith and feisty characters together into a gut-punching culmination. I can’t recommend this well-written thriller enough! The only disappointment I had was finding myself at the last paragraph, leaving Myrtle Beach until the next in the series is published. If you read only one Christian thriller this fall, make Final Trimester your first and only choice and you won’t be disappointed! All opinions are my own, and no monetary compensation was received for this review.

Great suspense! Final Trimester is a "what's lurking around the corner?" book that keeps the reader engrossed in unstoppable suspense. The shock value of murdered pregnant women in their third trimester places this story in a very curious category. Paramedic Jodi Duncan believes this is no ordinary killer, stalking pregnant women as they approach the end of their pregnancies, and murdering them. She crosses the line into police business which places her in a precarious position. Detective Nate Quigley becomes concerned enough to put his own job on the line in order to investigate similar murders in other states. The question is whether Jodi and Nate can perform in their own job capacities without being distracted by deadly circumstances. Dianna T. Benson is a new author to me, and I was impressed with her capacity to engage me in her novel at the outset. The suspense continues at a rapid pace with unsuspected events that continue throughout the book. Her characters are well defined and portray realistic emotions and reactions pertinent to the storyline. I found it difficult to put this book down, and highly recommend it for a great fast-paced suspense with unpredictable developments! I had the opportunity to read Final Trimester by Dianna T. Benson. Wow - I loved it! I was hooked from the first chapter through….let’s just say I can’t wait until the next two books in the series come out. It won’t be soon enough for me. What a terrific read. And I haven’t stopped talking about what a great book this is to all my family and friends who love to read. It was a great blend of suspense, mystery, romance, and faith mixed together. The way Ms. Benson portrayed the serial killer - wow! My mind doesn’t work that way but it was fun getting in the mind of the serial killer for a book and then being able to walk away. It’s sad that some people are truly tormented that way in real life but fun to read knowing that “no actual people were hurt in the production of the book.” ¿ I absolutely LOVED the way Ms. Benson concluded things with the serial killer and Jodi. I won’t give anything away but what a great way to answer the question, “What happened?” She added hope to what appeared to be a hopeless situation and that was awesome. And wow - I wish I was strong and brave and clever like the main character. This was the first book I had ever read by Ms. Benson but I am a HUGE fan now. I will be reading whatever else she has available because I am now hooked. I received this book for free from The Book Club Network and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.

Dianna Benson definitely has a winner with Final Trimester. A clever murderer of women in their third trimester of pregnancy has eluded capture all over the country. A clever paramedic starts putting two and two together and realizes there is more to the death of two women on her ambulance runs. A clever police detective begins to believe the paramedic may have stumbled onto something worth investigating. As these two long time acquaintances work together things really start to happen--more murders, creepy emails and terror filled circumstances. Emotions run high for both main characters as God is at work in each of them to resolve sorrowful issues in their lives. Can they forgive others and themselves to put the past behind and move forward in their lives? With romantic tension, suspenseful twists of the plot, and a very unexpected ending Benson brings a great book to her readers. It appears the book is the first of a trilogy and I can't wait to read the next one.   I received this book from “The Book Club Network” in exchange for my honest review. Before long she has caught the attention of a master of disguise and evil, Campden. Join Jodi and Nate as they fight to stop a serial killer targeting women late in their pregnancy. Wow, I don’t know what to say. Dianna T. Benson is a great new author to me. This was my first book I read by her but I will be reading many others. This book started with a bang and just kept going. Intense action and suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat. It also includes romance, heartbreak and healing that is only possible by faith in God . I LOVED this novel. Incredible book! I could not put this one down! And I did not see the ending at all! I cannot wait to read the next books! Jodi is an EMS, which she chose rather than being a doctor because she likes the variety from day to day. On one call a pregnant woman dies – which touches Jodi’s heart since, even though she is not married, she longs to have children herself. She even fosters kids and is trying to adopt. Unfortunately, the death of the pregnant woman is just the first of several. Nate is the detective who tries to find the murderer. As Jodi has ideas about the deaths of the women, actually, it even becomes an obsession for her to find the murderer before he takes out another pregnant woman, she communicates these ideas and suggestions to Nate. That does not sit well for him, or his boss or her boss and she finds herself in deeper and deeper water. But will the murderer be found? Who else will he target? Will Jodi get the child she longs for? Fabulous book and I highly recommend it! I received this book from TBCN in return for my honest opinion.

This book had my attention from the first sentence! It is full of suspense and a little romance thrown in. Paramedic Jodi Duncan realizes that there is a serial killer targeting pregnant women. She is trying to, however, convince Detective Nate Quigley about this. While Jodi is convincing Nate of this, the killer strikes again. So this begins Nate and Jodi on a goose chase to find out who is targeting these women? This is the first book I've read by Dianna T. Benson but this won't be my last! She is such a talented author. I highly receommend this book to everyone especially those who enjoy suspense with a little bit of romance thrown in. I received this book from bookfun for my honest opinion.

Wow! Get ready for a truly great read.  The topic is dark and disturbing - a serial killer targeting pregnant women.  Why would I want to read about that? However, the first chapter draws you in and before you know it you can't put it down. The main character, a paramedic, is a strong courageous woman who pushes the Detective in charge to keep the case open. Both characters are dealing with issues in their life causing them to struggle with their faith all the while pursing this warped but brilliant murderer. Be ready to get absorbed into the lives of Jodi and Nate. I can't wait to read the next two books in this trilogy from Dianna T Benson.
