It's been four years since Malakai's death, and Kinara couldn't be happier. She and Amir are married and live in a beautiful house with their four wonderful children. Kinara is finishing school as an online college student and has a job working for one of her best friends. Everyone that Malakai was ever involved with has a better life with him gone. Nothing can take away the joy that Kinara feels right now.
That is until she begins receiving strange notes from her dead ex-boyfriend. Kinara tries to shake it off and chalk it up to be a prankster trying to mess with her. But when her husband begins to act strange, she begins to wonder what he's hiding. The notes become more frequent and more personal. They even start to involve people that Malakai had lost/no connection with.
In the midst of all the uncertainty and uneasiness, their children were kidnapped. This brings about a whole new set of problems. It brings about more arguments between Kinara and the people that she is close to. She begins doing things that cause more problems than solutions. With a tip from the source himself, Kinara is told how she can get her children back safely. But she must do this alone. Should Kinara take things into her own hands and get her kids back? Or should she sit around and wait while more people get hurt along the way?
