A New York Times Bestseller

In this spellbinding exploration of the varieties of love, the author of the worldwide bestseller Call Me by Your Name revisits its complex and beguiling characters decades after their first meeting.

No novel in recent memory has spoken more movingly to contemporary readers about the nature of love than André Aciman’s haunting Call Me by Your Name. First published in 2007, it was hailed as “a love letter, an invocation . . . an exceptionally beautiful book” (Stacey D’Erasmo, The New York Times Book Review). Nearly three quarters of a million copies have been sold, and the book became a much-loved, Academy Award–winning film starring Timothée Chalamet as the young Elio and Armie Hammer as Oliver, the graduate student with whom he falls in love.

In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever.

Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, now a New England college professor with a family, suddenly finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Aciman is a master of sensibility, of the intimate details and the emotional nuances that are the substance of passion. Find Me brings us back inside the magic circle of one of our greatest contemporary romances to ask if, in fact, true love ever dies.

Similarly to Call Me by Your Name, the world you are sent to in Andre's novels is beautiful and without boundaries. I love every word.

A must for people who want satisfying closure for Oliver and Elio. Hope to see a sequel to Call Me By Your Name.

I love the characters in the original novel, and they are indeed well-developed here as well. But I can't help but feel disappointed that Elio and Oliver seem to have less treatment here.

After having read the first book and the movie, I was hooked! Pre-ordered the book and literally finished it by the second day it was received. I'm going to be honest, I expected more. The beginning starts of with Elio's father finding new love in an unorthodox environment which was interesting. Then the book goes into three more chapters one being Elio meeting the fathers new girlfriend, to Oliver's going away party, to Elio and Oliver reuniting again. Now here's where it went left for me. We all know Andre Aciman is known for his poetic nature, love for music...figurative language; however, I feel like there was so much of it that it took away from the story itself. In addition, the timeline of every event sort of confused me. But what really upset me was that Oliver and Elio's reunion only lasted in the last few pages of the novel which as a fan, I did not expect that in a sequel with two prominent characters. I look forward to the movie but I'm not sure if there is more of a story left now that every one is either dead or old. I wish that they had reunited sooner rather than later. Still an interesting read nonetheless.
