Mark Lyon was a beast in the boardroom. Building websites and branding corporations for success was his specialty, and he was good at it. Mark worked hard to earn his place at the top of his field. He let nothing stand in his way, not even Christmas.
Charity Clarke captured Mark's attention with her upfront personality, but her giving spirit is what stole his heart without notice. When she goes missing, Mark finds himself needing to come to her rescue. Will Mark succeed at Finding Charity, or will the gift he wants most this holiday season be gone for good.

A sweet and sexy read, Finding Charity show us that miracles can happen during the holidays if only the person is shown the way. Mark Lyons is a self centered, selfish business man whose only interest is the bottom line. During his company Christmas party he meets a mysterious woman who sets his world on fire and makes him look at the world with different eyes. What begins as a way to espedite her Christmas duties so he could have her to himself turns into so much more when he gets a real look at the real homeless and impoverishment issue happening right beneath his own nose. Although I'd love to lay all the responsibility of his change at Charity's door, the fact of the matter is that we do get a glimpse of Mark's softer side in his interaction and feelings for his secretary, Jane. Charity may have been the catalyst, but I believe Mark had redeeming qualities already that just needed to be tapped in to. I greatly enjoyed reading Finding Charity. The characters were engaging and the story well written. I only wish it were longer. It seemed a bit rush towards the end and could do with slowing things down just a bit and letting the reader have time to care about Charity's situation.
Finding Charity is my first read by Jody Pardo. I enjoyed Charity and Mark's story. The characters are great and the book had plenty of drama, humor and sizzle. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. Finding Charity is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Finding Charity is such a wonderful short story, perfect for Christmas! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This story begins with a man named Mark Lyons who is not very fond of giving a helping hand to those in need. He meets a woman at a Christmas banquet who ultimately takes his breath away. After bringing her back to his place as a Christmas present to himself, he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Without a phone number or any other contact information, he decides to head out and grab some coffee. Little does he know that a last minute run in at the church, of all places, could decipher a change in his life and outlook of lending a hand? I really enjoyed all of the characters in this story except for Larry. Life really resonated into this story as well as respect. I found that these characters are all very appreciative of what they have, or they become that way after sharing a Christmas together, in sorts. Mark and Charity were wonderful together, but the author has a wonderful way of throwing in the perfect twist. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who is a fan of short stories about Christmas and romance. The story is written well and the author does a wonderful job with the development of her characters. Charity’s work description is elaborated on more than Mark’s, but her work is the display of the story so the context is on par. The pace is fast, but I was still very much captivated by the story and did not have any trouble keeping up. I rate Finding Charity with five stars for its originality, creativity and good cheer!
This book was a fun quick read. Mark Lyon is a man obsessed with his work. He doesn't really do anything else. Charity Clarke is a mystery woman he meets while attending a work Christmas function. He didn't want to go to the function but he does because he is expected to attend. He is taken by how beautiful she is right away. Then he is pleasantly surprised when she shows interest in him and quickly leave together. When Mark wakes up the next morning and she is already gone he is slightly disappointed. He gets up and decides to go for a run. While on his way to his favorite coffee shop he spots Charity on the steps. He goes to her and finds out she is doing charity work for the church. Mark stays to help as he wants to spend more time with Charity. Once again she is gone when he wakes up but this time she leaves a note saying she will be working at the church again. Mark gets ready and goes there. But, when he gets there he finds that Charity maybe in danger. Mark begins looking for her. How has one woman he barely knows gotten under his skin so quickly? Will Mark be able to find Charity? Has something horrible happened to her or has she just not shown up at the church? This book was good for how short it is. I would love to read more about these characters. Mark is quickly taken by Charity and is surprised by this. Mark finds himself doing things he wouldn't normally do after meeting Charity. She manages to bring out this whole other side in him. While he is looking for her he finds himself reaching out to people he normally wouldn't even think of. This book was wonderfully written and has great characters. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
