Overview

Two fractured hearts and a forbidden love they can't deny.

You shouldn't want what you can't have...

Faye Donovan has lost everything. After her parent's tragic death, she's whisked away from her home in Ireland when an unknown uncle surfaces as her new guardian.

Dropped smack-dab into the All-American dream, Faye should feel grateful. Except living with her wealthy uncle, his fashion-empire-owning wife, and their seven screwed-up sons is quickly turning into a nightmare-especially when certain inappropriate feelings arise.

Kyler Kennedy makes her head hurt and her heart race, but he's her cousin.

He's off limits.

And he's not exactly welcoming-Kyler is ignorant, moody, and downright cruel at times-but Faye sees behind the mask he wears, recognizing a kindred spirit.

Kyler has sworn off girls, yet Faye gets under his skin. The more he pushes her away, the more he's drawn to her, but acting on those feelings risks a crap-ton of prejudice, and any whiff of scandal could damage the precious Kennedy brand.

Concealing their feelings seems like the only choice.

But when everyone has something to hide, a secret is a very dangerous thing.

Finding Kyler 4.8 out of 5 based on 0 ratings. 12 reviews.

I was thrilled when I saw that Siobhan was allowing her readers to catch up on the Kennedy boys series. I was intrigued by the brothers when I was reading Forgiving Keven and when they made an appearance in The Rydeville Elite series. So, I jumped on it, and I am glad that I did. The relationships that made zero sense to me in Forgiving Keven were introduced and somewhat explained. Finding Kyler had a fast-moving plotline. From the minute, Faye realized that she had American relatives, it zipped along. The flow of the book was fantastic also. I want to mention, because the author had a foreword about it, that there is a lot of Irish slang in the book, which I expected because the author is from Ireland herself. What I didn’t expect (and what I loved) was that she thoughtfully included a glossary at the end of the book. I was familiar with most of the slang in the book, but I was still taken by surprise by some of the things Faye said. There was a small bit of ick factor when it came to Faye and Kyler’s relationship with them being 1st cousins. The author chose to play that up instead of letting it slide. Faye was continually reminding herself that her attraction to Kyler was wrong. When people found out about them, their reactions went from happy to disgusted to unhappy. But, putting the ick factor aside, I did enjoy their love story. Faye walked into a mess when she arrived at the Kennedy household. Let’s say that the Kennedy’s put the fun in dysfunctional. I did feel a little bad for her because she was treated like crap. Kaden, Keven, Keanu, and Kent chose to ignore her. Kalvin kept hitting on her. Kyler ignored her, but at the same time, couldn’t stop watching her. The only decent person in the house was Keaton. Alex seemed nice, but she was never around. James, well, he had issues. Many, many issues. That made for a toxic environment. Like I mentioned above, there was an ick factor with Kyler and Faye relationship. But, as I also said, I didn’t let that color their romance. In a way, it was sweet. Faye tried so hard not to fall for him. She did everything in her power to stop her feelings. She even went as far as to enroll in another school to stay away from him. It still happened, and it was delicious to read. The end of Finding Kyler was a big drama fest. There was a huge twist that was revealed that I didn’t see coming. It is not often when a book shocks me, and this book did. With that twist came the cliffhanger, which I didn’t like. But, at the same time, it made me need to read the next book.

The Kennedy Boys remain one of my favorite series to date. I've reread them more times then I could count. I love taboo, forbidden reads, so I knew I would enjoy this book. While it has the taboo touch, it's not taboo, if that makes sense. There is so much angst to keep the reader reading every word without fallen bored. Furthermore, the ending will have your chin touching the floor while fiercely needing the next book.

Eeek I loved this book, can't wait for the next book! Finding Kyler is the first book in the Kennedy boys series. Faye Donovan's life changed in the blink of an eye. Living in America, is completely unfamiliar and her family are complete strangers. Kyler is a focused individual determined to meet his goals, having been betrayed by love, he has no interest in looking for love. This story is captivating, well paced and well written. It's highly entertaining and I didn't want to put Finding Kyler down. The characters are complex, well developed and flawed. Both are damaged as a result of their past. This story focuses on one very intriguing and dysfunctional family and has quite a few twists and turns, with secrets, pain, loss and drama. The side characters are fascinating and I can't wait to discover more of their stories. Fans of the Royals will definitely connect with this series, I can't wait to read the next installment.

Being a fan of Siobhan Davis, I was nervous I wouldn't like this book due to it's taboo element. I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised. I should have known that Davis' writing would make all the difference in the world. From the beginning of the book I found myself so connected with the main character, that I took on her views of the subject and was able to just enjoy the roller coaster ride of her romance. Faye and Kyler are a couple that you end up rooting for against all odds up until that final mind blowing, soul shattering cliff hanger. I haven't read the books that people have been comparing this to, but I will say that if you are a fan of Gossip Girl and things like that, you'll likely enjoy this book. I do caution though, that this is not Young Adult as people have called it, I'd definitely call this a New Adult book. There are parts that get pretty steamy and some content that might be unsuitable for those under 18.

Wow. This one took me out of my comfort zone. Tragedy rips Faye from the life she loves in Ireland and she ends up in America with family she did not know existed. Her seven male cousins are... intense. Almost instantly they get real sexually aggressive towards her. In front of their parents. Their father scolds them whenever they say or touch her inappropriately, but no one really has the reaction I would expect. Even Faye. I was a bit surprised by how few characters in the book were actually repulsed by the idea of cousins hooking up. There were even some who encouraged it. I really like Faye as a character, and I feel for her and Kyler and all they have been through. I just can't ship incest. That being said, I could not put this book down. I loved the other characters and all the drama of this completely messed up family. They all have secrets, and we barely got a glimpse of them in this first book. What happened at the end literally made me sick to my stomach, but I will definitely be reading book two. I have to know where everyone goes from there. ***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book.***

Fans of Siobhan Davis know her from her Novo and Saven series, which are both in the fantasy genre. However, this new series is a contemporary YA romance. Some may be offput by the fact that the two romantic leads are cousins, and I was hesitant myself at first. However, I think if you like Ms. Davis' previous works, you should give this series a chance. Finding Kyler has everything we love about Siobhan's work: hot guys, a strong heroine we can relate to, plenty of drama, and angst and her most shocking cliffhanger yet. This is a great read for fans of Erin Watt, particularly if they liked Paper Princess and its sequels.

What I absolutely love about literature is that everything is fair game. Readers can experience taboo subjects without actually living them. Finding Kyler is one of those books that will stick with you forever, and not just because it features a romantic relationship between first cousins, but also because the exceptional quality of the writing. Lolita by Nabokov is my all-time favorite book, and yes, the story disgusts many; however, with superb writing, you get inside the characters’ heads and their intentions become clear. With Ky and Faye, Siobhan shows us that true love knows no limits. Their romance is electrifying and witnessing their relationship evolve was beautiful. They are perfect for each other. Who cares if they are cousins? Here is a list of everything you will find in Finding Kyler: -Mean girls (Addison and Peyton are awesome villains) -Hot guys (All the Kennedy boys, Brad, and yes, I think James is hot too) -Dysfunctional families -High school parties (who doesn’t love party scenes?) -Interesting friends (I love Rose and Lana) - Characters with entitlement issues and poor little rich boys - Drama, so much drama :-) - An ending that will leave your jaw hanging open but it will make you laugh at the same time (or maybe that’s just me) In conclusion, I loved Finding Kyler, and I really can’t wait to continue with the series!

I LOVED this book!! First off...how cool was it that it takes place close to where I live, in Wellesley, MA....and it even included Legends Diner!!!!! That was AWESOME!!!! But this book, OMG....I hated to stop reading!! Faye...I LOVED her as the protagonist! She is a strong and well balanced person, unlike the Kennedys. She was raised by parents who loved her and brought her up always making sure she felt that love and they guided her in life, as she recalls many things they say and that gives her the courage and wisdom in what she does or decisions she makes. Whereas the Kennedys are such a screwed up family, and the children feel no love from the parents and ho respect for them. Faye comes along and she doesn't know what to make of them and they don't know what to make of her!! As time goes along some of them come to really love Faye, especially Kyler. Kyler is such an interesting character, with so many layers, or I should say walls. But Faye gets through, but only Faye and I believe she still hasn't quite gotten him stripped bare yet. But he is grouchy and mean on the outside, and a softie on the inside. He loves and cares about his family. And he especially loves and cares about Faye. Deep down he has an immense capacity for love. This book was delectable. Sinfully yummy. I loved every bite.

Filled with drama, forbidden love, foreshadowing and a great group of characters with all their own problems and secrets, Finding Kyler is the addictive start of Siobhan her new series. I couldn't put this book down when I started reading. It was very additive and despite some issues that I had, I was hooked. I love how Siobhan manages to even put foreshadowing in this book and quickly I was guessing and forming my own theories about the secrets characters kept and their backstories. I was pleased I managed to predict the big twist at the end, there are enough clues to figure it out, but it still manages to feel like a big surprise for the characters and it wasn't too obvious. There is a great cliffhanger ending that makes me wish the second book was out already. Faye is a great character who can stand up for herself, she's sassy and doesn't hesitate to talk back, although I do think sometimes she went a bit too far with her insults and she retorted to violence sometimes. Faye has 7 cousins and it was a bit difficult to remember who is who at times as their names all start with a K, but by the end I was doing better remembering who was who. This family is so messed up and they all make their share of mistakes, but at the same time I can't help but grown fond of these characters. The romance is a bit of a forbidden romance, there is some hot and cold behavior from Kyler and I never fully warmed up to him, but there are some very sweet moments as well and by the end I did think these two were good for each other. All in all this was an addictive read filled with drama and a group of memorable characters and I can't wait for book 2! I received a free copy of this book and voluntary reviewed it.

Want to know what it was? Guess you will have to read it to find out.
