Chase is a Dom who just got out of a two year relationship. Derek is a sub and a close friend of Chase who's helping Chase with his breakup. Chase and Derek have a "one night stand" right before they leave for the leather convention and both have feelings for each other but neither will admit it. Chase and Derek skirt around their feelings and mean mug each other almost the entire time.  The beginning of the book is excruciating boring! It's pretty much a play by play of what it's like at the convention from registration to workshops. Although I've never been to this kind of a convention... I have been to conventions before (work and for fun). They all have the same kind of feel just different content. So, as I do appreciate a description of the atmosphere of the leather convention (because I've never been to one), I don't need a play by play of every step. I want to hear about the play time and the kinky effery that may be going on.  We even get a description of the schedule, booths, merchandise displays: "Books. Porn of every variety imaginable. More leather. Penis rings and penis cages. Whips and chains. One guy specialized in handmade glass dildos and butt plugs that were a decorative as they were useful."  At about 45% is the first time we actually get any sort of action. FINALLY! It's some pretty good action and totally makes up for the fist have of the book killing me. The sex that is in the book is really good. I only wish there was more of it. I also had to Google some things because I didn't know what they were. For example blood cupping (there is none in this book but it is mentioned). I had no idea what that was and now that I know... I don't want anything to do with it. Overall, it was ok. I did enjoy it and I will definitely read more from this author. This ebook is currently listed on Amazon and B&N right now for $5.99. Even though I enjoyed the book, I would not pay that much for a 170 page novella. I would pay between FREE and $1.99.

Chase and Derek are friends spending a week as roommates at a BDSM convention. Although they spent the night together before heading for the convention, Derek has never allowed himself to sub for Chase because the timing was never right. However, this doesn't mean that he has stopped loving the idea of doing it. Now the question is: Will these two ever pursue what they truly need to be happy? I enjoyed this story very much. The author brought Chase and Derek to life by slowly but surely shedding light into their personalities and letting me experience them as they were. At first, Chase did not convince me of his Dom persona and I thought Derek was the more confident one. However, L.A. Witt did a wonderful job of letting me into their minds, getting a glimpse into their every frustration, need and desire. I came to know them so much that I caught myself shaking my head a time or two because of their cluelessness (okay, I admit that what I really wanted was to smack some sense into them, but I was sure Derek would enjoy it too much). Other than these men needing a course in Communication 101, I had no problem connecting to both characters and understanding what was behind their fears and their doubts. I loved how Chase was always there to keep Derek safe, even if he was not participating in a scene. It truly showed his caring side and his commitment to be a great Dom. I loved seeing him struggle with his feelings for Derek, but I was touched when he finally let go and communicated to Derek what he meant to him. *sigh* That was such a great moment! And as for me not being convinced of his Dom persona? Er, Witt proved me so, so wrong with this one little hot scene Chase participated on. But what was even better was knowing that he was both a loving, caring Dom and a sexy, relentless sadist. Now THAT was HOT! And Derek? Well, he was awesome to see as a sub. His dedication and his ability to let go and be himself was beautiful to me. It was a treat to see him submit, but I have to say that it was in that moment when he couldn't submit to another Dom that I truly understood how deep were his feelings for Chase. His emotions were right there for me to feel and THAT was what really did it for me. I loved watching him finally accept what he really desired and go all out to get it even if it ended in failure. Of course, once they got together it was all fireworks. I don't even have the words to describe how great the passion was and how much I enjoyed them together. My only complaint is that I didn't get to see them in a scene together. Can you imagine? That would be awesome (hint, hint). All in all, Finding Master Right was a sexy, friends-to-lovers romance with a whole lot of emotions and even more sizzling-hot BDSM scenes. After reading this story, it is my opinion that L.A. Witt should attend leather conventions on a regular basis. Just sayin'. I received this title from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange of my honest opinion.

3.5 STARS ~Reviewed by ANN & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Chase and Derek attend a leather convention together in the hopes of learning more about the BDSM lifestyle. However, when Chase’s ex is attending too, he feels as if he needs to go hide into a hole. Temptation lies on a few feet away where Derek stands, the sub that he’s been dying to top. Things are made complicated when Derek doesn’t want to be seen as the rebound sub for Chase. They fight the attraction that lies within them until jealously makes it too much to bear. FINDING MASTER RIGHT is a very quick read. It’s light, funny and very cute. I thought that the beginning took a little long to get into the action, simply because we are getting both Chase and Derek’s POVs. They desire each other from a distance, but they don’t act on it, thinking that this is not what the other wants. When Master Raul enters the picture and shows them exactly what they are missing, they begin to realize that maybe they are perfect for one another. That being said, for most of the book, it’s really a communication problem between the two. They assume too much about the other so when they finally talk about it in the end, the resolution felt a little too swift for my liking. All in all, I enjoyed the banter and the character POVs. I also found the BDSM element to be very appealing. Witt always writes a feel-good read. *ARC provided by Netgalley
