Tanya Brown has suffered several devastating losses in her life. After a mental breakdown and near suicide attempt in 2004, Tanya Brown checked into a psych unit where she learned how to cope with her depression. She now leads a happy and successful life as an author, life coach with a master’s degree in psychology, and public speaker on mental health and domestic violence issues. Her mission today is to help the reportedly 350 million people worldwide suffering with depression to find hope, and to help break the stigma attached to mental illness.

Co-author William Croyle is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and graduate of St. Ignatius High School and Ashland University. He is the author of "I Choose to be Happy: A School Shooting Survivor’s Triumph Over Tragedy," and "Angel in the Rubble: The Miraculous Rescue of 9/11’s Last Survivor," which has been printed in four countries.

I just finished it. I could hardly put it down! Tanya Brown has written (with her co-author) an amazing story of her life and recovery from depression. She is one of the most honest and beautiful people I know. I have known her since 1995 but did not know her so well. I never knew she struggled with depression. I think anyone who has ever struggled with depression, or if they know someone who has, should read this book. It is really interesting, funny, heartwarming, and informative. Hello? Who doesn't need to read this book?
