About the Author
Melissa J. Chaney, M.S., R.Y.T., is a native of Denver, Colorado and was educated and trained at Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala and the Ayurvedic Institute. Currently working as a registered yoga teacher and certified in Contemplative Hatha Yoga, Prenatal, and AyurYoga I and II. She is also a practitioner of yoga in her personal life. She is a close student of Patricia Hansen, the past President and founding member of Unity in Yoga International and Yoga Teachers of Colorado; a founding member of the National Ayurvedic and Medical Association and the International Association of Yoga Therapy, and co-founder, director, and facility member of Rocky Mountain Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda. This invaluable connection provided Melissa J. Chaney with the opportunity to study with several great yoga leaders over the last 17 years, shaping the discovery of her own book. Melissa J.
