A very, very good read. The main characters, Violet and Blake, have a chemistry that just leaps from the pages. This book has everything - romance, sexual tension and an interesting storyline. I highly recommend it.

It was a good book towards the ending because I was dying to know what would happen to Violet, but the plot was a bit boring and kinda dragged on. I've read better Brenda Joyce books. But it does not change how much I love Joyce's books! I so reccommend her Deadly Series.

THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN APRIL 1997-NOT 2004 AND MUST BE A RE-ISSUE. IF YOU LIKED 'MY FAIR LADY'YOU WILL ENJOY IT. ON A SENSUALITY SCALE OF 1-10 IT IS A 5.WHILE I ADMIRE VIOLET'S TENACITY FOR LIFE--THERE REALLY WAS NO DEPTH TO BLAKE'S CHARACTER.I WILL READ ANOTHER OF MS. JOYCE'S BOOKS TO SEE IF LATER WRITINGS DEVELOPE BETTER HEROS AND HEROINES.

Classic Cinderella story with charming characters and several plot twists. The characters are well developed, and the story never drags.
