The Firefighter's Secret Baby by Anna DeStefano

One night has big consequences

She's a captivating woman who catches his eye immediately. They spend one steamy night together. But in the morning, she's gone.

Nine months later, firefighter Randy Montgomery is the first emergency responder on the scene of an accident. And as he pulls a very pregnant woman from the wreck, he recognizes her—Sam Gianfranco. What a twisted sense of humor fate has. Because not only is Sam about to give birth, but she's also in a pile of trouble. Police protection and bad-guy chases kind of trouble. Another man would walk away. Not Randy. A single glance at Sam and his baby, and he's in this for the long haul. And he'll do whatever it takes to keep all of them safe.

About the Author

Anna's day revolves around the men in her life: her talented, techie husband, who taught her how to program computers in college; her creative, incredibly smart son, who doesn't know the meaning of the word can't; and her two aging but never down-for-the-count Siamese cats, who continue to invent unique ways to sit in Anna's lap while she types her stories. Swimming in all that testosterone, Anna indulges her feminine side by writing romance and shopping wherever she can find the fashion she loves at the prices her small-town upbringing will permit her to spend--like the funky purses she gives away in her quarterly website contest, at annawrites.com.

But watch out when Anna pulls all that black hair up and puts on her cap to play tennis. She's an A-level competitor in Atlanta, where they take their tennis seriously, and she finds hitting overheads and put-away volleys the perfect stress release for a long day of tangoing with writing deadlines.

And just when you think you know everything there is to know about Anna, you'll find her exercising her more quiet gifts, providing crisis care for adults and children who need a compassionate ear to share their struggles with. She's been a Stephen Minister through her local Methodist church for years, and this year begins her journey working with high school students who are grieving the loss of a parent or family unit due to death or divorce.

Anna loves to keep up with her readers and friends!

Loved the hero but the heroine was pretty annoying. I just thought that even being interested in having sex with all the drama and recent childbirth was pretty unbelievable.

Sam is a strong women. She finds herself tired, pregnant and on the run. Will she ever find the calm family she wants... Randy is a fireman who thinks he has everything he has ever wanted. That is until a one night stand comes back to bite him on the butt. What will happen when Sam and Randy get reunited. Will they pick up where they left off or will Sam's problems be more than this fireman can handle??? I do not normally read contemporary romance but I am glad that I made the leap in this case. Once you pic it up you won't be able to put it down till your done. It is non-stop action that keeps your eyes glued to the pages. Anna DeStefano really out did herself in this Hrlequin Super Romance/Atlanta Heroes book. I cannot wait to see more from this exceptional author.

A well written story of true love and family ties. I enjoyed this book and at times had a hard time putting it down. If you are looking for something good to read I would definitely recommend this book.

I have to say that this book was a great read. The connection between Sam and Randy survived their separation. The fact that Sam kept Randy in the dark about her pregnancy bothered me. To me that was wrong. I like that Randy didn't walk away when Sam was in danger tells me that he is a very honorable man and still in love with Sam. You need to read the book to find out the *rest of the story*. You won't be sorry. One of my favorite of Anna's books.
