Ever the gaming geek, still, this book entertained me... for all of about eight hours. Then I had to buy the next one. I will be reading Pratt until he writes no more!

Why is the first ebook free and rest of the series available, but not the second ebook! Very fustrating. Went to the authors site and can't get the book because I don't know what format the nook uses. Why isn't this ebook available??????

I went through this one quickly. The story picks up right where the first book leaves off and drags you along for the adventure. Several new and enjoyable characters are introduced and join James in his quest. My main complaint with the book is that it is short compared to the first... a little over three hundred pages compared to the nine hundred of the first in the series. At any rate, I have already purchased the next book that Pratt wrote in this series to see where this voyage ends.

I never read these kind of books. I'm not even sure what the genre would be called, but I fell in love after reading the first one for free. I just downloaded the third and I hope it's really good because it is about half the size of the other two.

I loved the first one got it for free from ebooks and I can get 4 and 5 in ebooks but why can't I get 2 and 3 as ebooks? Doesn't make sense for anyone who wants to sell books.

The first book was just dwnloaded out of idle interest but very quickly I have been unable to put it down! Now this 2nd book has me anxious to collect the rest! Good story telling and pacing, even the situations seem more believable as James makes parallels to RPs and other paraphernalia of our world. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Good story but please Learn past and present tense!! Also, the morals of the hero change on a dime along with his exhaustion level from casting simple spells that leave him exhausted to complex where he needs to rest just an hour.
