About the Author

Dear Reader,

Thank you for picking up the third book in my paranormal series, A Witch’s Night Out. I’ve always been a huge fan of witches and their feline friends, and I’ve had loads of fun creating my own. I keep my stories lighthearted, the angst to a minimum, and the sex just hot enough to make your face warm. In all my romances, I aim for a few laughs, a handful of clever twists, and a scorching happily ever after.

After having cat familiar Dulcina “Sweets” Gato play a supporting role in both Flirting with Fire and Frosty Relations, I couldn’t wait to tell her story. This 21-year-old recent college graduate has a smart mouth and less-than-charming personality, but her flaky façade hides a willingness to kick some major magical butt. Her fur gets ruffled by the return of Enforcement agent Mikal Knight, her best friend’s big brother. Not only does his presence make her foresight go haywire, his overprotectiveness threatens to crimp her vigilante ways. Of course, Madame Eve works her uncanny magic to get these two reluctant lovers together before fireworks go off on New Year’s Eve.

If I managed to keep a smile on your face for the past few hours, then my goal as a writer is met. I love hearing from readers, so feel free to drop me a line at . You can find out more about my other books and various social media haunts at www.taraquan.com.

Tara Quan's "Fireworks at Midnight" is the third tale in the A Witch's Night Out series, but you can read it as a standalone. I love how the books have holiday events in them. I love the imagery on New Year's Eve. Great level of detail for a novella. The nookie is super sexy. I could almost feel it!

Although the other 2 books in this series were good fun I have to say that this one is by far my favorite so far. What with a precog shifter trying to stop fates intervention by never allowing what she sees with Mikal to happen. And a elemental that has been working to make a future with her possible. These two characters definitely had chemistry in spades and they have a close relationship before it happens. The natural flow of this book was spectacularly written. There was action, some suspense, a little mystery, and a romance with a little kick. Dulcina (sweet) doesn't want to risk her friendship with Mikal and her best friend but its getting a little hard to continually beet the future. And Mikal has changed his life plans in order to make it so Dulcina could have a future, hopefully with him. I loved these two characters because they were great separate and even better together. This is one Tara Quan book you don't want to miss.

This is the third book in the Witch's Night Out series and the best part for me is that each story is individual, whilst following a familiar idea. This way means that you get a fresh story each time, whilst the world and character building can move on from where it last left off. This means that you end up with a rich and detailed world with characters that are three-dimensional and you can relate to, without having a massive back-story or information dump going on. Sweets and Mikal deserve to be together, they have crushed on each from afar long enough. The time is now to make a move - but who will move first, and what does fate have in store before they can? This is a quick and light-hearted read that will satisfy your need for a steamy coffee break book. Whilst it is the third in a series, I would say it could be read as a standalone, but reading the other two will definitely help give you a more enriched view. Definitely recommended for all fans of paranormal romance. * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

The third installment of Tara Quan’s Witch’s Night Out series is FIREWORKS AT MIDNIGHT, a novella length story set in Washington D.C. All three of the novellas in the series are based around a dating service for one night stands that caters to witches and warlocks. The premise is fun and sexy and the idea that magical folk have trouble getting dates is a fun twist. Both Mikal and Dulcina are delightfully written and are supported by interesting characters. The premise may be far-fetched but Tara Quan’s writing makes it work. It’s fun and sexy and totally worth the time!
