Several late nights went into this one! The dual storylines were both interesting, although I definitely the submarine part. Can't wait to see the movie!

Nothing like the movie. Book dragged a little, but was good overall

As a retired submariner I found this book extremely well done. The multiple story lines were all interesting and flowed well with the overall plot. The descriptions of the actions onboard the submarines were very accurate and to the point but not disclosing classified information and kept the reader wanting more. Characters were believable most of the time, there was a little reaching but did not take away from the story. I hope to see more from these authors!

Well Anonymous is flat wrong and apparently didn't read the author blurb or he would realize that the author is a retired nuclear submarine captain. (I've read both his books and the information was on the back of the first one.) I would assume that experience would be enough to "take the time to find out". This is not my normal genre, but I really enjoyed reading this book. I found the detail and accuracy refreshing (military brat myself and numerous friends in active service). I've read a few "action/spy" novels that have had me falling over laughing at the portrayals of military life and the capabilities of the human body. They read more like adolescent male fantasies instead of gritty realistic action. I thought Final Bearing was a good first effort from a new author, Firing Point was even better, and can't wait to see another title.

Bravo Zulu, for anothe GREAT book. Could not put it down. Move over Tom Clansey, the new dynamic duo are in town. This book holds your interest from page one. You find yourself living the experiences with the characters. Hoping some get their comeupance, and some survive. I was lucky to get the preordered copy from my local B&N and could not stop until the end. Had to know what was happening next, and how it ends. Thank God for bubble-heads and SEALS.

This book is dumb beyond belief. It is less than a kids comic book. Inaccurate, silly story line, absolutely no clue about life on a Nuclear Sub and worse, never did take the time to find out. Save your money, this book is an ill conceived worthless piece of horse puckey. Whoever submitted the one review MUST work for the author.
