OK, I admit, I don't like American history to much, but this was BORING. More boring than anything else I've ever read. I hated it when I was six, and now I have to read it AGAIN!? I mean, they 'had to' tell me what and EARL was!? WHO ARE THEY KIDDING HERE!?!?
We are using these books in our history class. My students love them! They are easy to read and the pages are not littered with too much information. You will enjoy history while you read these amazing books filled with photographs.
This book gives a good overview of the time and shows how things might have happened in the days predating western exploration. However she does not show the other views and ideas of the time period and tends to stick to her own opinion more than giving facts. Again, a good book for getting an overview of this time but I recommend the reader look at other books too to get a more balanced understanding.
