Not having any French speakers in our group, the book was good for getting our point across and ordering, or knowing what generally was on a menu. The book is not detailed but short and to the point. If we were going to be in France or a French speaking country for a longer period of time, this would be a good starter but not efficient to learn French as the French would speak it.
