Flighty wants his friend Foggy to join him in the sky on a beautiful bright day. Foggy refuses because he's afraid of what could happen if he goes up there. Each time Flighty explains how his fears can be overcome, Foggy invents a new reason--until finally he gets so tired of resisting, he lets himself quiet down and rest and let go of his fears. In the end, Foggy wakes up and invites Flighty to join him for a great new day.

About the Author

Jack Rodney is an ex-teacher who's spent over sixteen years in seventh grade (He hasn't gotten it right yet.), a songwriter with enough words & music to fill a fifty CD set, an artist living in a futuristic cityscape, and a budding author of a dozen or so books. A father of three, a husband to one, and a generally okay guy whose pug licks him to death. His books are about his passion, Life Lessons I've Learned from the Beatles, humorous stories he's lived and retold for decades, Childhood Memories--and Worse, his real ghost story, The Hand in the Haunted Radio Station, a series of childrens' stories about his favorite cloud, The Adventures of Foggy the Cloud, and one about sides of teachers most people never see (Two Sides of the Apple).
A native of Pittsburgh by way of New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Seattle, Jack currently lives in Washington, while his alter ego, Foggy the Cloud, lives with his friends in the Skyborhood.
