When Crosby’s parents are imprisoned for embezzling, Crosby’s life gets flipped upside down. He went from being the star hockey player on his team, to shunned by everyone around him. With no family left, he packs up and heads to Alabama to finish out his year of college, and make it to the big leagues. Except, his whole plan to fly under the radar and finish out his year goes awry when he finds himself naked and tied to a tree by his own teammates. Let’s just say that moment was only the beginning for Crosby at his new school. I actually started to read For Crosby first without reading the previous two novels. The synopsis says that it’s a stand alone, however, starting this book, I felt like I was missing something. Sabrina is talking about pushing a guy she had a thing for towards another girl, and she reflects on a guy who harassed her friend last year. While I’m sure I could have read the story no problem, I felt like I’d get a better understanding of Sabrina and her surroundings if I went back and read the previous books… and I was right. While the previous books don’t overlap in story, I felt a greater sense of community and friendship once I went back and read them. So, I’m glad that I went back to the beginning because not only did I enjoy this story more that I probably would have, I devoured each of those books in a day. Trust me, it’s no hardship to go back and start this series from the top. I just need to take a moment and say that I LOVED Sabrina’s character. She didn’t take Crosby’s crap at all. When she finds him tied to a tree, she tries to help him but when his attitude proves to be difficult, she throws her hands up and walks off. He was pretty cocky, arrogant, and a bit of a jerk, however, in hindsight I can’t blame him. I mean, he just found out that his father betrayed his mother, his friends all turned their backs on him, and on his first day at his new school he is tied to a tree by his own teammates… naked! I don’t blame him for being grouchy, and having major trust issues. However, when the big bear started grumbling at her, Sabrina would growl right back at him and show him that she was no pushover. Which made for some pretty hot sexual tension. Once she finds out about Crosby’s past and realizes that he’s not just a jerk, she sets off to make things right. She wasn’t above admitting she was wrong and even held out an olive branch to Crosby. I also admired her tenacity when stuff hits the fan. This girl did not go down without a fight. This was just an all around great story. I guess I should say that it was ANOTHER great story by this author. For Crosby may be my favorite thus far. I just loved the dynamic of these two, how strong they each were, and just watching their romance slowly blossom. I loved that we got both of the POVs because it allowed me to see that Crosby was a great guy, he was just absolutely miserable and alone at his new school and was always looking over his shoulder for the next shoe to fall. If you are a fan of romance, a fan of college/sport romance, you have got to pick up this series, or at the very least For Crosby.

For Crosby by J. Nathan 5 Stars This is not my first book by this author and for sure will not be my last...I love her writing and her stories and how she brings both together to form these awesome books. This was a quick read that I could not put down so read in one sitting. It was full of everything needed to understand the characters and their backgrounds. It had a perfect flow and I guess my only complaint would be that it ended..I could have read so much more about these two. Crosby and Sabrina were an awesome pair..Their first meeting was one of the best I've ever read, I laughed so hard, especially when she walked away...I loved all the interaction between these two, and it was great checking back in with characters from earlier books. I loved how all the drama got handled and how strong of a character Sabrina was. The epilogue was perfect, and I sincerely hope there is much more to come in this series, I see some possible events for many of the characters in the future. Loved it and love this author!!

For Crosby by J. Nathan is the third book in her For You Series, and I could not put this one down for anything! Following the story of star hockey player Crosby crossing paths with Ice Queen Sabrina, and while he can play on ice he isn't prepared for the sparks that will melt him and her into something that they aren't prepared for. Sabrina is tired of being the friend zoned girl, so she is determined to resist the temptation of guys in general until she can work on herself but she isn't prepared for someone like Crosby to come into her life. Crosby on the other hand just needed to keep his head down until he can make it to the pros, finish college and don't screw this up is his only mission, but there is something about Sabrina that grabs his attention and diverts all his attention toward the sparks they ignite in each other. The dynamics between these two, the push and pull, was interesting to read watching them both walk a tight rope trying to make the other fall first. There were times that both Crosby and Sabrina were total s**theads and made me want to stop reading, but I kept being pulled back in the minute I was ready to drop the book. Will there be a happy ending for these two, or will they end up eith nothing more than some steamy memories of college days gone by? Nathan is great at making you both love and hate her main characters, but the storyline keeps you coming back for more. I already have ordered the rest of this series, and am anxious to see where Nathan takes her characters next.

Sabrina might have pushed her crush to friend-zone her and into another girls arms but she is over the whole college guys. When she comes across Crosby tided up to a tree she tries to free him but when Crosby starts getting all snippy with Sabrina she leaves him tied up to the tree all naked for the whole world to see the next day. Crosby may have been trying to fly under the radar and just get scouted by any hockey to team and just get the heck out of Alabama. As Crosby and Sabrina get to know each other and get over their initial dislike of each other feeling start to develop and soon they both realize as long as they have each other they can get through anything. This is the first book that I've read from J. Nathan and I am really hooked. I am definitely going to have to read more J. Nathan's work. ***I was given this ARC by NetGalley and publisher as an exchange for an honest review.

J. Nathan scores with FOR CROSBY, the third book in the For You series. Up-and-coming college hockey star, Crosby Parks, transfers to Alabama in hopes of escaping the media debacle his family left behind. He wants to keep a low profile before entering the NHL draft. Unfortunately, that is easier than it sounds, since his new team decides to tie him naked to a tree on his first day. Enter Sabrina Marshall, who finds him and keeps crossing his path. This contemporary sports romance in suitable for new adult and adult audiences. J. Nathan does a nice job with both her plot and character development. The story is original and believable. I like that Crosby and Sabrina initially do not get along. I also, appreciated that Sabrina decides what major to declare, as a result, of all the things that happen with them. I felt bad for everything that Crosby went through. Some of the things that happened with his team were cruel. I’m glad Sabrina showed compassion and befriended Crosby. The two have amazing chemistry and fun conversations. FOR CROSBY is a great example about not judging people because you have no idea what is going on with them. There are interesting twists to the story. It flowed well and held my attention from start to finish. I have not read the other books in the For You series. I had no problem following this book without reading the other stories. The main characters from those books are friends with Sabrina, so they make numerous appearances in this story. I liked the characters and wouldn’t mind reading their novels: FOR FINLAY (For You, #1) and FOR FORESTER (For You, #2). People that enjoy reading new adult sports romances would enjoy FOR CROSBY. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I was a little skeptical of Crosby at first, but hang in there with him because he's definitely redeemable. Once we get his backstory his behavior is understandable. J Nathan did a great job of writing the antagonist. He's definitely someone I disliked immensely. The whole way I was hoping he would what's coming to him. I really liked Crosby and Sabrina together. They were good for one another though they didn't start out that way. It's a good story with a good flow to it. I highly enjoyed it.

EPIC! Holy efff!!! HOT!!! For Crosby by J. Nathan was amazeballs. Yes, I said amazeballs! For Crosby was like a hook dangling in the water and it caught me. Sabrina is such a great character that she drew me in with her wit and no filter attitude. Sabrina takes no crap from anyone, especially Crosby. When they first cross each other's path, she leaves him tied to a tree. Yes, a tree. Naked. That is the start of their hate/love relationship. Crosby has a habit from there to get under her skin and just tick her off. Crosby is closed off because of his parents. After having to transfer mid-semester to Alabama, the Hockey team is anything but welcoming. When they tie him to a tree he takes it but he also meets Sabrina. Sabrina tries to avoid Crosby so many times yet, they still come into contact. Sabrina refers to him as Mr. Hockey, an a**hole. As everything unfolds she comes to know the real Crosby, the Crosby that has been hurt. Then the hockey team, mainly one member, making Crosby’s life hell on top of it. As the story unfolds page by page, you will not want to put this book down. You will have so many questions from the start but trust me, no stone is left unturned. Not to mention, the chemistry they share when they are arguing, fighting, or just getting it on is filled with so much passion. What happened to Crosby? Why does the team want to ruin him? Can Crosby lower the walls he has built and let Sabrina in? 5 amazeball stars **Review by Elizabeth, Late Night Reviewer for Up All Night w/ Books**

For Crosby by J. Nathan is book three in her For You series. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading all the books in this series as they are all just as enjoyable. This is sports romance book that will keep you engaged until the end. It pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me reading until the last page. I enjoy this author's writing style. It is free flowing and creative. Her attention to details make you feel as if you are right there with the characters. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride and had some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. This is a story about a hockey player named Crosby. Crosby had it all, a good family, money until he didn't have it anymore. He was sent to college in Alabama where he knew if he was going to get into the pros he would have to keep a low profile. But as he is learning that is easier said then done. Sabrina was leaving a party one night when she comes across a man tied to a tree naked. This is the start of her life being turned upside down, she just doesn't know it yet. What will happen when this man gets free? I enjoyed both of these characters. They are strong, independent and feisty. They both know what they want and how to get it. This story has some bullying going on but the way it was handled was understandable. These two have great chemistry. I found myself hoping that they would get together at the end but you will have to read to find out! They both were attracted to each other from the beginning but giving one self free can sometimes be the problem. The secondary characters are a great support. Some of them are from the previous two books which was great to see. Sometimes, I wanted to ask them what they were thinking because of the situations but they keep the story flowing. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens to when a hockey player gets tied to a tree!
