This volume provides a unique combination of biblical, historical, theological, and missiological essays focused on the church's missionary task at the beginning of the 21st century. The diversity of topics treated, including a fresh study of Matthew 28:19-20, the thought of world Christianity pioneer Hendrik Kraemer, the role of ritual in mission, Calvin on apostolicity, Islamic power politics, urban missions in China, and a sermon on Genesis 18-19, reflect the wide variety of issues crucial for a faithful and competent proclamation of the riches of God's grace in Jesus Christ.
