Two people. A relationship with no commitment. What could go wrong?
Javier Cruz definitely isn’t relationship material, but that suits Hazel Gellar just fine. She’s not a girlfriend girl and doesn’t plan on ever being one.
But after a mind-blowing, bed-breaking night, she knows once isn’t going to be enough. Fortunately, Javi feels the same way. And it's not just the sex. Javi is funny and complicated and Hazel loves being around him, even when he drives her nuts.
Will she and Javi make the choice to be together for longer than just right NOW? Or will their hangups about romance be the end?

I'm glad we got to see Javier's story.
I fell in love with Jett and Shannon last year when I read For Real. I was excited to learn it was going to be a series of standalone novels featuring different characters from the first book. I was thrilled to get a chance to read For Real in advance of its release. It was a good read, but I didn't connect with it quite like I did For Real. Where Jett and Shannon's relationship was based on feelings and first love, Javier and Hazel took a sexier route. Their best friends (Jett and Shannon, respectively) are a couple so they frequently find themselves together. They give into their urges and attraction to each other one night and their friendship starts to come with some added benefits. Javier and Hazel are both flirty and sexual people. I really did like them together, but I just couldn't find a level to personally relate to them on. What I did really appreciate is that, while their relationship started off as something just sexual, it grew into something deeper over the course of the book. Both Javier and Hazel opened up to each other and grew together. For Now has the humor and heart I've come to expect from Chelsea's novels. It's a light and quick read with a bit of steam. I loved that Jett and Shannon were featured in this book, too. It was nice to catch up with them and see how life and love was treating them. I might have wanted a little more from this book, but ultimately, I liked what I did get. I wouldn't recommend reading this one unless you've read For Real first though. While theoretically each story can stand on its own, I think the first book was stronger and you might be a little lost in this one without knowing the backstory and the dynamic between the characters. This was a good read. I really loved Hazel.. she's the reason for my 4 star review. I connected with her because she reminded me of my best friend. The book kept me interested and was far from boring. The chemistry between Hazel and Javier was great and that is something that I look for in a good book. I enjoyed it enough to want to go back and read book one in the series :)
A sweet New Adult romance, For Now was a nice read. Hazel and Javier were both good characters. Hazel was feisty and definitely knew what she wanted. Javier was sweeter than he let on and rather adorable. I liked them both. The romance was okay, but I wasn't really feeling it. It just went to fast without enough depth of emotion, unlike book 1. But, I still thought Hazel and Javier were well matched and they definitely had some hot chemistry. The plot was well paced and kept me interested. I enjoyed the story and the ending was sweet. For Now was a good New Adult romance. Not the most memorable, but still an enjoyable read. Romance lovers, this might be a book worth looking up. *I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review
