Kerry Coleman's choice is stark: marry Gregory Davenport and join the nation's most celebrated family, become a billionaire and maybe someday first lady, or choose the man she loves, Gregory's chauffeur Brad Armstrong. Kerry has no inkling that both men are living a lie; that her choice is not between power and love, but between good and evil.
"For Power or Love" is a love story at its heart, but it's much more. It's a story of heroism, treachery and deception. It is tragic and funny by turns, and includes cliff hangers and unexpected twists.

About the Author
ROBERT POWER was born in Canada, but raised and educated in the United States. He stayed in university so long, Berkeley eventually gave him a PhD to get rid of him. Working as a consultant from home, he drove his wife crazy until he took up writing fiction in his too-ample spare time. Neither he nor his wife know what they were thinking when they decided to have four children, but they're happy they do--most days. They live in southern Ontario.

This book should be read by anyone who loves suspense, intrigue, humor, good versus evil, deception, love stories, abuse of power, surprising twists and turns, a gun chase through Manhattan, a terrorist attack, etc, etc, etc, etc... Kerry is a strong, refined, beautiful female character. I have read 2 other books by this author (Thank Sophia for Sam and Forbidden)and in them the female characters have similar qualities (Black Hawk pilot and FBI agent). Kerry, in For Power or Love is a lawyer. She meets one of the most celebrated bachelors, Gregory Davenport. Brad is his chauffeur. It doesn't take Kerry long to learn that Brad is down to earth, intelligent and funny. Gregory is a pill! But, Gregory has power and money. An example of Gregory's treachery and Brad's humor: Gregory: "Do you know what the last driver who tried to be funny at my expense is doing? He's on skid row, and I'm proud to say I put him there". Brad: "Ruining a man for joking is quite an achievement, sir..." Another example: "Put aside all the status baggage for one minute. You're a man, and I'm a woman. If we were...stranded on an island, you're the guy I'd be attracted to". "Because I'm the only man on the island?" "No". "What if Greg was there and he had the only cave and all the fish and coconuts, and I had a stick?" Read this book. You won't be disappointed! I'm so glad there's a Part 2 because I want to see what happens to these exciting characters!
