"Taylor Lavati has proven to be a wonderful writer & has made her way onto my list of favorite authors pretty quickly." Amy B

"One for readers at the older end of the 'young adult' spectrum, The Thousand Year Curse is clearly the work of a gifted young writer. ...what struck me most about the book was the deft and surprisingly mature touch of the author." Jay G

"I fell in love with Taylor's writing when I read the first book in her Curse Books. When I opened this book {A Reliant Love} I wasn't positive what would be waiting on the other side for me, but I was certain it would be a reading adventure. Taylor didn't disappoint." Bestselling author Jesse Kimmel-Freeman

"I absolutely loved this story {For The Love of Ash} and how beautifully it was written and flowed together. I have reread it 4 times now!" Taylor K

"I never thought I would read a "zombie book", much less love one. The Last Legacy really surprised me. Even with the whole people-eating-people thing, it was a fantastic book." Melannie S

This book had the sweetest characters, Characters that had endured so much loss and pain. Maggie has to take over the care of her brother after the death their parents and she becomes the parent he is missing. The telling of the transition from sister to parent was well told and emotionally charged. Luke is in a similar situation with his own family. The heart of these characters made for a lovely read. I enjoyed this and I was glad that I was asked to read this book. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a review. This book is really well written and a simple sweet story.

Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite For The Love of Ash is the story of Maggie and Luke. Maggie is a former party girl who was granted custody of her young brother after the death of their parents. Maggie is determined to make a good life for her and Asher by finishing college and becoming a teacher. Her ultimate goal is to be the best guardian possible and let Asher enjoy life and do the thing he loves most; play hockey. Luke is in a similar situation, having moved home to protect his siblings from his dad’s violent hand. He’s struggling to balance his life as a student, teacher and protector, but this is where he meets Maggie. Taylor Lavati does a great job, especially when Luke and Maggie meet, of showing the chemistry between them but also their reluctance to purse a relationship. It makes for a layered story and Luke’s unwillingness to give up makes the story great. What I love most about For The Love of Ash is that these young people are so deeply committed to their siblings, and they work hard to make life better for them. That aspect was touching and it gave me great respect for Luke and Maggie. Beyond that I loved them together and Taylor Lavati did a great job of their initial bickering and the flirty banter that came afterwards. This is a love story that didn’t come easily, but the challenges they faced made their coming together even more rewarding. I thought at times Asher acted a bit too mature for his nine years, but he was suitably adorable and you could see that Maggie was a great guardian for him. Watching these two young characters come into their own in life and love was emotional and, despite the few times they acted their ages, they were loyal and fun and giving.
