Chapter One
Gus was a big dog. A really big dog. I mean a really, REALLY BIG DOG.
Gus was a GREAT DANE.
The only thing bigger than Gus was his HEART.
Gus had been living with a wonderful caretaker named Jo at a Great Dane Rescue Center ever since his first owner had dropped him off into her care. There were lots of other Great Danes for Gus to play with, romp with and just be a dog with.
And Jo cared for and loved each dog as if they were her own.
But Gus, like any other dog, longed for a home of his own ... a family of his own.
Several months went by and Gus had still not been adopted. It wasn't Gus's fault, it was just going to take a little time to find just the perfect family for such a special dog. After all, adopting a dog that BIG, was a BIG responsibility!
But still, Gus could not help but wonder if he was ever going to find his FOREVER home. Little did he know how BIG that "home" would be.
And so Gus's adventure to find just that began. Little did Gus know that the search for him had also begun.
