Right away...the dynamics between the family, the whole premise of the story... it just captured my attention and pulled me in right away I truly fell in love with this story, the avowed spinster and the confirmed bachelor. ?? Callie created such a strong heroine in Elise, her tenacity and determination, was also kind of part of what I liked least about her...her determination was also part of her stubborness...she was REALLY determined to NOT be married! And how could I NOT fall for our hero, Simon??? He was what we want in a hero, honest, open...let's just say he was very forthright.... can you tell I just really loved Simon, he knew he was in love with Elise even if he didn't plan on falling for the best way possible, he really loved her. They both started out with no intention of getting married, not looking for love, and with specific ideas of what their life would be like, all planned out, spinster and bachelor forever. There are two beautiful, heartfelt, special scenes, that could have come across as odd, awkward, had they been penned by a less skilled, less passionate author...but they come across so beautiful, so compassionate, sweet, kind and caring in Callie's capable hands. ?? You can understand what motivates the hero or heroine's stubbornness, they aren't just pig-headed, commitmentphobes, they are truly born of legitimate fears...which is why although they appear to be very, very unmoving in their way of all boils down to honest, deep seated fear, and once that fear is addressed, they realize that they're being unreasonable and what was perceived as being stubborn, is really insecurity that's relieved by communication snd of course, love. Perfectly portrayed ? I know the book has me when I feel like I know the characters, when I personally wanted to sit Elise down and tell her, oh honey, talk to Simon!! He loves you!! He loves your independence and your uniqueness, he would never want to stifle who you are!! TALK TO HIM!! Or say to Simon, seriously? THAT'S not a proposal!!! I honestly felt like I KNEW them ?? Loved this book!! MCParks

What a delightful start to a new series. I enjoy reading books about strong young women of the ton. Elise was was of the strongest. She smart, well spoken and has a keen interest in many things other than courting, ball gowns and dancing. Sadly, her father wants her married. Elise always has a plan and enlists Simon's help in remaining a blue stocking. That is where the real fun begins in the book. Only friends or could it be turning into love? Ms. Hutton provides the reader with an entertaining book and some very humorous moments. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to the next in the series.

I laughed a lot during my reading of this darling romance. The heroine (Elise), the oldest daughter of a widowed father with monetary problems who decides he MUST marry his three daughters off to lighten his load, is an independent miss who dislikes the frivolous life of the ton and decides she will NOT marry despite her father’s wishes. The hero (Simon), who has also shown disdain for the ton’s activities and has no desire to marry, meets Elise and all of a sudden their game changes and the sparks fly. Elise’s father sees their interest in each other and decides to nudge the two so that they will marry. Oh the hijinks of all the family members that ensue make for a lively, lovely romance. I loved it!

Awesome new series by Callie Hutton. The Earl of Pomeroy has declared all of his daughter will marry, but in birth order. Lady Elise at 23 has already decided she’s not going to marry so her father’s decree is rather unsettling, especially since he says her sisters cannot marry until she does. Lady Elise agrees to go out into society and participate in the marriage mart, but on her terms. Simon St. George immediately notices Elise at her first ball. Simon has a brother and a nephew so he see no need to marry; he already has two to inherit the title. Simon and Elise strike a bargain to get through the ton’s season without having to marry. Elise is a bluestocking, but Simon finds her to the most interesting person he’s met in a long time. The best laid plans goes awry as Simon pretends to court her so she will not have any suitors and her father will not force to marry. The attraction between them is sizzling. I loved their witty banter and I know you will too! I received an ARC copy from the publisher and author and this is my honest review.

For the Love of the Viscount by Callie Hutton is a fantastic historical romance. This is a fairly short read, a perfect choice for historical romance fans with limited time for reading. Ms Hutton has delivered a well-written, delightful book. Elise and Simon's story is a fast-paced romp with plenty of drama, humor and sizzle. My favorite part of the book though, were the amazing, lovable characters. I loved this book and look forward to reading more from Callie Hutton in the future. for the Love of the Viscount is book 1 of the Noble Hearts Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
