This book has a lot of valuable information but lacks clarity in identifying the plants. The photos are pretty and nice,  but not always what you really need to identify a  new plant. I would recommend this book only as a companion to another book with more thorough identification means.  The author includes some plants as well.  Mushrooms are covered, but again don't use this book as an identification guide especially with mushrooms! Suggest having Petersen's Guide to Edible plants with it as a minimum.
