Forbidden (Music City Moguls #3) by Cheryl Douglas

Lee Elliott is working hard to re-build his relationship with his brother, Drake, and prove to him that he’s a changed man after a series of bad choices created a serious rift in their relationship. When Drake agrees to give him a chance, Lee vows he won’t do anything to screw it up. There are four simple rules: no drinking, no drugs, no stealing, and no messing around with Drake’s employees. Lee can handle the first three, but Drake’s personal assistant, Indie, is making it nearly impossible to obey his brother’s fourth commandment.

Indie Eaton has been working for Drake long enough to know his brother is a train-wreck, and when Drake tells Lee is coming to work for him, she has no problem obeying his command to steer clear. Given her history with men, the last thing she needs is to date another loser.

But when Lee reports for duty looking and acting nothing like the man she remembers she begins to wonder if he’s really changed… or is she just seeing what she wants to see?

Cheryl Douglas has done it once again in Forbidden. This is the story of Lee and Indie, each having issues from their past that they are trying to move forward from. Will they overcome their past issues? Will Lee and Indie finally get along enough to work together as a team for Drake? You will have to read to find out! This is truly a great story and I don't like to give any spoilers away. This is a must read!! Five AMAZING Stars!!!

Great Addition to Series. Forbidden is Book #3 in the Music City Moguls Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but you may get more of the back story if you read Stone Cold (Book 1) and Envious (Book2) first. This is Lee Elliott and Indie Eaton’s story. Lee and Indie both have issues. Their past addictions and traumas have shaped their thoughts and emotions. Indie is judging Lee by his past and has a real animosity toward him. Lee is working to overcome his past and build his relationship with his brother. This was a well written book. You could almost feel the struggle that Lee makes daily to over-come what he has done in the past. You also feel for Indie, when you learn about her past. This is not your typical romance and does deal with some series topics and situations that could happen to anyone. Would recommend this read. I was provided with an ARC for an honest review.

This is a great book, by a great author. I pretty much know that whatever Cheryl Douglas writes is going be great and this book is not exception. The characters are broken, but together they are whole. A book about preconceived notions and what happens when you really get to know somebody! Kudos Cheryl Douglas!

I absolutely love her books, each one has its own struggles and happy endings. Indie dispised Lee for his past. Struggling with her own demons, can she overcome them as well as Lee's past? Can she finally let go and find happiness? Love really does find a way when it's meant to be :)
