This multi-author collaborative series of contemporary romance novels is brought to you by bestselling authors Barbara Freethy, Roxanne St. Claire, Christie Ridgway, Lynn Raye Harris, Julia London, Cristin Harber and Samantha Chase. You won't want to miss a single one!

FORD

There are three things Ford Garrison wants more than anything:  to build, to report to no one, and the chance to live his life without the prying eyes of the good folks of Eagle’s Ridge.  Having spent ten years in the Navy as part of their construction battalion, he was able to live out most of that dream.  Two out three wasn’t bad, right?  Now that he’s out of the service, things aren’t falling into place quite as easily as he hoped and he ends up back home with all eyes on him.

It wasn’t as if Callie had gone out of her way to end up in Ford’s path, but somehow that happened all on its own and the town gossips were having a field day!  Could she help it that she was living in the house Ford had hoped to claim as his own or that the work on his grandmother’s ranch meant they were living not fifty-feet away from each other?

Ford was determined to come home, do a job to help his grandmother and leave.  Callie James is a distraction and she represents everything he has spent years running away from.  Now he’s at odds with his friends, his family and himself about where his home and future are going to be.

Could he walk away from Eagle’s Ridge a second time?

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

A series of Seven Short Stories ( 150+ to 180+ Nook Pages) about seven young men who have served in the military, most special ops, and who have now returned home to their home town to find and secure their future... Each is by a different author so each has its own vibe meaning I liked some better than others but would recommend all... These were perfect stories for me since I am recovering from two knee replacements in a cold Northeast winter... I loved the characters and the decisions that in some cases were hard to make.. I loved that in spite of their military experiences they all came HOME even when they didn't think they wanted to... Worth the read...

I was provided a copy for review purposes. Ford is a difficult man. He can be grumpy and opinionated, but Callie is a strong enough woman to handle him. FORD frustrated me at times and made me smile throughout the story. I was drawn in and didn't want it to end. Great job Samantha Chase!

Sweet & Heartwarming! Sweet & Heartwarming! This story gave me all the feels, it made me laugh, sigh, and fall for these characters. I enjoyed every second of Ford and Callie’s story and couldn’t put this down. There were so many special moments between Ford and Callie as they find their way to one another. Their chemistry is amazing. I love the slow burn with the perfect amount of sweet, heat that Samantha Chase always delivers.

Fabulous!! This story is engaging, heartwarming and sexy! Ford has come home because he Grams needs him and he would do anything to make his Grandmother happy. BUT, he is not happy about it and can't wait to leave again. Callie is a tenant living on his Grandmother's property and has had a crush on Ford most of her life. It was so easy to emphasize with Ford and his predicament and my heart broke for him when he realized his Grandfather had always been on his side even though circumstances didn't look like it. Callie is awesome. Her understanding and acceptance of Ford's situation tugged on my heart. I really LOVED this story!! Highly recommended if your looking for great romance with characters you can relate to.

heartwarming and passionate FORD by Samantha Young is the seventh and final instalment in the multi-authored 7 BRIDES FOR 7 SOLDIERS romance novella series focusing on 7 former military heroes (family and friends) who return to their home town of Eagle’s Ridge. This is thirty year old Navy sailor and carpenter Ford Garrison, and twenty six year old kindergarten teacher Callie James’ story line. FORD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the characters cross over between story lines and authors. Told from dual third person perspectives (Ford and Callie) FORD looks at the building relationship between Ford Garrison, and Callie James. When Ford got the call that his beloved eighty-eight year grandmother’s house had been damaged in a recent storm our hero returns home to discover that the once feisty woman now lay injured in the hospital with less than happy prospects for a return to her once independent lifestyle and way of living; and a childhood acquaintance is currently renting the cottage on the family owned property. Enter Callie James, Eagle’s Ridge newest kindergarten teacher and the woman with whom Ford will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance between Callie and Ford, and the potential fall-out as Ford finds himself trapped between family obligations, and his need to run from everything Eagle’s Ridge represents-both past and present including the small town gossip, and never quite meeting the expectations of his otherwise successful parents and kin, in this Ford’s attitude is a bit disconcerting; the maturity level is questionable as he struggles to accept what is and what could be. Ford Garrison had no idea what his grandparents had in store for his future but returning to Eagle’s Ridge our hero discovered more than he could have ever imagined including the knowledge that his heart truly belonged in the town in which he grew up. Callie James has had a crush on Ford for as long as she can remember but Ford’s need to escape the small town mentality and busybodies of Eagle’s Ridge meant there was an expiry date on their growing love-a love Callie knew was about to break her heart. As Ford struggles between head and heart, Callie begins to pull back fearing the loss of the man that she loves. The $ex scenes fade to black or are mostly implied. All of the previous 7 BRIDES FOR 7 SOLIDERS story line ‘heroes’ make a cameo appearance or play a secondary and supporting roles. We are introduced to Ford’s beloved grandparents Ben and Margaret Garrison, his parents as well as Callie’s mother Ruthie James. FORD is a story of family and friendship; expectations and revelations; falling in love and letting go of the past. The premise is heart warming; the characters are colorful and dynamic; the romance is passionate.

I loved reading Ford by Samantha Chase, the seventh and last book in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series. Ford Garrison learned to build things from his grandfather while growing up in Eagle’s Ridge. While growing up he disliked being under the prying eyes of the people of his town which is why after leaving the Navy he moved across the country from his family. Ford was determined to return home after his grandmother broke her hip and to repair her house. Callie James didn’t try to end up in Ford’s way, but it happened and the town gossips are having the time of their lives. Renting the cottage on his grandmother’s land had Callie living too close for Ford to forget the beautiful kindergarten teacher. Ford needed to decide where his home and future would be and if Callie played a role in that decision. I loved how in sync these two were. Callie knew not to push Ford to choose but to let him make his own decisions on his time. Ford has much to decide learning about decisions that affected his life that he didn’t know, or realize, before this visit. Callie helped him see where he belonged and what he really wanted. Ms. Chase is a wonderful story teller, making me feel as if I was right there and making me want to spend time in Eagle’s Ridge. Her books draw me in, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers and am sad that this series is completed. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Saved the best for last! I loved this series and loved Ford. He was a little rough around the edges, but he was the hardest on himself. And in the end, he completely redeemed himself so that was a good thing. Seven Brides for Seven Soldiers was a great series with great authors and I highly recommend all of the books - you don't have to read them in order but the flow of them if you do is done really well.

WOW !!! Samantha Chase has hit it out of the park again. Another well written story that flows so well that you feel like you are right there in the story. In the series 7 brides for 7 soldiers each book is written by a different author ,the last book in the series is Ford written by Samantha Chase. Ford came from a great family and had a great life. His family owns a well known construction company and Ford always felt the pressure to be the perfect one and to take over the business so he runs away and joins the military. He comes back years later to help his grandmother but he really doesn’t want to be there. The pressure he feels pressure that he has put on himself and with that being said he is not a very open and cheerful person. Callie is a very sweet and happy person who has had to work hard for everything she has ever gotten and it hasn’t come easy. She is a kindergarten teacher and she is renting the guesthouse from Ford‘s grandmother. She has had a crush on ford since she could remember. Callie gets in there and pitches in wherever she is needed but she’s not afraid to stand up to ford when he’s wrong. Callie and ford develop a beautiful friendship that turns into so much more. Don’t take my word for it , pick up a copy for yourself......you won’t be able to put it down.

Samantha Chase never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful words and the way she evokes so many different emotions from me. Ford is such a sweet and heartwarming story about a man, Ford Garrison, who left his small hometown for the navy and basically never looked back. Sure he went back home to help his Grams whenever she needed him to, but he he never stayed long and didn't want to. He left the small town problems of everyone being in your business or their misconceptions and expectations because of his name and is happier without them. Or so he thought. Now he is home because his Grams is laid up and her home has some serious damage. Ford agrees to stick around long enough to take care of everything and then leave again. Until Callie James. Callie had a major crush on Ford when they were younger and finds that not much has changed where that is concerned. Their chance meeting in the middle of the night, changes both of their lives forever. These characters are both so real and likable, as are all of the supporting characters. I really love that about it. Can two people who are perfect for each other find the home they have both longed for for so long with each other in a place Ford vowed never to return to? Absolutely amazing story! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Samantha Chase continues to showcase what a treasure she really is. Ford is realistic, simplistic and complicated. It's amazing that a subject that is so simple can breed so many complicated emotions. Ford has spent his life running. From home, from responsibility and mostly from himself. Callie has spent her life wishing for a place to belong to. A home of her own, people who love her and a life that makes her happy. Ironic isn't it that both were searching for the same thing. Acceptance. A place to belong. A sense of security. Each was searching for something they always had, but failed to realize. A HOME. Ford is an epiphany moment. The manifestation of something special and the realization of something wonderful.
