Sometimes the past won’t stay where it belongs.

Marc and Natalia are settling into parenthood, but they can’t shake the feeling of déjà vu when it comes to their new baby.

Sensing they’ve been a family before when something horrible happened, they journey back in time, through hypnotic regression, to eighteenth century Belgium, where they relive a shocking past life that challenges their love more than any other and causes repercussions in the present.

Last time, remembering their past lives brought Marc and Natalia together, this time it may tear them apart.

As before, the story is very well written, the characters are believable and charming, and the plot is strong, with some very interesting twists and turns. I was very surprised to see some of the problems that Marc and Nat ran into after their baby was born. Not that the problems weren't realistic, they were. But usually in a series like this, a couple who married in the first book seems to breeze through the second in idyllic bliss, not having a care in the world.

As in the first book in the series, Christiana’s characters are almost too realistic. Marc and Nat have the problems you’d expect from their age differences—she’s twelve years older than he is—as well as the ones consistent with having a new baby. Forever Flames is well written, but much too short for me. As always, Christiana leaves you wanting more. This book is only a novella, so hopefully, a new book in the series will be coming out soon.

Meet the Author

Debbie Christiana remembers sitting in her room at eleven or twelve years of age pecking away at an old Smith-Corona typewriter, a gift from her parents. Even back then, the stories that appeared on paper were full of ghosts, skeletons and unexplained events.

An avid reader, she enjoys many different genres, but her true love is anything paranormal. When not reading or writing, Christiana enjoys yoga, boating, and gardening. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.

Amazingly gripping and inspirational romance about "twin" flame soul mates. The novella sequel to "Twin Flames" does not disappoint. It is a powerful story about the connection between present and past souls. Natalia and Marc are twin flames or soul mates. The continuing story and discovery of regression tests the connection and limits, especially when one wants to pull away. I had to read this in one sitting. Marc's birthmark "was their bond, their strength, and their weakness." I look forward to any more that may be written within this story. Anyone who wishes to be inspired and shown that there are soul mates and fate is important, should read this story.

I pretty much inhaled this book. Loved every bit of it. The story of Marc and Natalie continues with the birth of their little Gigi. We are given a glimpse into Natalie's ugly side when she's out of her comfort zone and Marc's abundant patience with her. The new parents feel that their baby's soul was on the earth before. She was with them in a previous life. Both, Marc and Natalie have inexpiable feelings of dread and sadness and they agree to be regressed one more time. They find out in this life time their time was cut too short too soon and too violent. They discover things they didn't want to know and didn't know were capable of. It puts a strain on their relationship, but their eternal love sees them through. The book leaves you breathless wanting for more and wondering what could little baby Gigi up to next. The key on the cover is nicely woven into the story and will make you want to Google about it to find out more. The deadly virus makes you appreciate modern medicine and all it has to offer to save lives, most importantly vaccines

As much as I am not a fan of Novellas, I am so glad that little gem was added to the story of Marc and Natalia. Giovanna, the slightly pushy spirit that lived on Nat’s Vineyard with her is now gone, or is she? The two cannot help but feel and see that she is now the daughter that they hold in their arms. Even with her joy over the child Nat cannot shake the feeling that the reason her spirit friend pushed so hard for the two to be together was so that she could be born again to the two of them… for another lifetime as their daughter. But the question still remains as to why she would want such a thing. A voice in the back of Nat’s mind tells her that the reason may not be a good one, but there is only one way to find out. The two choose once again to partake in a past life regression to find the truth. What they find is not wonderful in any way and puts a strain on the two new parents that threatens their future together. Again Mrs. Christiana entwines the story of those around them into her tale of the two twin flame soul mates the book is really about. Nat has formed a surprising bond with Simone, Marks ex-wife. You will end this book wondering why as much as the two women do.

Contains spoilers! I was given an e-copy in exchange for my honest review. If you have not read Twin Flames, I suggest you do. Forever Flames picks up where Twin Flames left off. It will give you a better understanding between the main characters and how their journey has lead up to this point. After finishing Twin Flames, I had to see what happened next. In this installment, we follow the continued journey of Nat and Marc. This time, the main subject revolves around their precious new baby. They have a feeling that they have been a family before and that their baby, GiGi, maybe the reincarnation of the ghost that they were so close to. They also have a deep feeling that something bad had happened in the past life that involved GiGi. With hesitation, they agree to do another past life regression to get the answers they need. After the recession, they agree that they have the answers they are looking for, but it may have been more than what they bargained for. Sometimes the past is best to keep in the past. The regression was so they could maybe change a future outcome, but it may have opened more doors and questions than they were not ready to accept. The main focus in this installment is on Nat, Marc, and the baby. There are a few returning characters from the last installment, but not many. This novella answers a few questions that were left lingering at the end of Twin Flames, but there are still a few questions left unanswered. I look forward on the next installment and see where the journey goes from here.
