Are you looking for a little Christmas cheer? Then pick up a copy of Forever in a Moment by Charlote O'Shay. This is a quick-paced read that takes place in small town Vermont, where the townsfolk are friendly, welcoming, and full of holiday spirit. Samantha DeMartino's finance dumped her two weeks before their planned Christmas wedding. Apparently, his former sweetheart stole his heart all over again. With Sam's extremely logical and highly organized life in shambles, she decides to get out of Manhattan and go on her honeymoon alone. She is hopeful that a week at the Deerbourne Inn in snowy Vermont will help her to clear her head. Little did she know that the man of her dreams, dairy farmer Jed Armstrong, would turn out to be her savior and soulmate. The minute Jed saw Sam he knew she was his one and only, which was odd because he has not dated in a very long while. When he lost his older brother, he and his family were never the same. As a result, he threw himself into his family's farm in order to keep his mind occupied. Teaching Sam to ski is fun, and kissing her is even more exciting. Within a week, they are madly in love. I really enjoyed this story. The characters are well-developed and easy to get to know. Sam and Jed are quite passionate and their sexy times are hot. Overall, a solid read. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I adore this book! Forever in a Moment starts with Samantha being dumped by her fiance two weeks before the wedding. Her two best friends convince her to go on the trip to Vermont that her fiance had booked and paid for, so Sam sets off from New York to Vermont in what turns out to be one of the historic New England snow storms. Of course complications ensue culminating in the SUV that Sam has rented running out of gas 2 miles from the Inn where she is staying late at night in the middle of the storm. Undaunted, Sam starts walking, to be rescued by Jed and delivered to the Inn. Jed gets her SUV to the Inn and Sam is able to go to her Nordic skiing lesson - taught by Jed. Sam finds that everyone in the small town of Willow Springs knows who she is and what happened to her, and she keeps running into Jed. The attraction between Jed and Sam is surprisingly strong. Jed is comfortable with the connection but Sam keeps telling herself that she is having a vacation fling until she can not. I really like these characters - both are warm caring human beings. Jed has been through tragedy and has matured because of it. Being jilted forces Sam to really look at her life - she realizes that she does not like her job working for her dad, that she was not really attracted to her ex-fiance and she had been doing what her parents wanted instead of figuring out life for herself. The author does a great job of showing how Sam grows and opens up to her full potential. Sam and Jed do get their happy ending, and their story left a smile with me. Part of the Deerbourne Inn series and I will say do not start this book at bedtime I could not put it down once I started reading it. Samantha DeMartino and Jed Armstrong's story will make you believe in love, but there is heartbreak in this story as well. Especially about Jed's brother. This is the first book by this author and I loved it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

With just two weeks away from her wedding, Samantha’s fiancé breaks up with her. In one fell swoop, her organized life turns into complete chaos. She needs a break from it all and at the urging of her girlfriends and her parents, she decides to go to Deerbourne Inn and celebrate her honeymoon alone. She does what any tourist does and gets ski lessons. Her instructor, Jed, makes her pulse thrum and the attraction is mutual. But she’s only staying until New Year’s and has to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. The more time she spends around Jed, the harder it will be to say good-bye. Could this quaint little town be where she belongs or is Jed just a rebound? Forever in a Moment is a wonderful story about falling in love and figuring out what you want out of life. It’s also a new take on the city versus small town trope. From the first page, I instantly connected with Sam. Her fiancé broke it off with her to go back to an old flame and while the rejection is hard for Sam to rectify, he did her a favor. He forced her to take a hard look at herself and what she wants out of life. The romance between Sam and Jed is swift yet realistic. The attraction is instant yet there’s still obstacles between them. As they get to know one another, past hurts reveal themselves. Sure, Sam pushes Jed away but instead of pushing back, Jed continues to care for her. There’s plenty of swoon-worthy scenes as they work through their issues. The writing can be summed up in three words: intoxicating, emotional and irresistible. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I ended up reading it all in one sitting. If you’re looking for a romance with real characters all set in a quaint small town, pick up Forever in a Moment today. Another great installment in the Deerbourne Inn series. Favorite Character/Quote: He plows a hand through his hair then captures my gaze with his and I can’t look away. “What’s happening is us. We’re happening. This is our beginning. You and me together. I’d started to think it would never happen. But it did. When I saw you that first night...I knew. And you did too.” My Rating: 5+ stars

What a sweet, delightful story! It grabbed me right away and sucked me into the snowy Vermont world of small-town living. Great, realistic characters that you can get easily identify with. Through the ice and snow, love heats up for Sam and Jed. Pleasantly refreshing tale of finding what makes you happy and grabbing it with both hands. My first read from Charlotte O'Shay did not disappoint. Sam’s fiancé dumped her days before their Christmas wedding and she’s looking for an escape from her too-serious, too-predictable life in NYC as a lawyer. She always took the safe path. Time for change, even as she fights it every step of the way! Enter her “honeymoon for one" in Vermont at Christmas, a broken down car in the snow, and a ruggedly reclusive dairy farmer named Jed. These two can’t fight their attraction, but with Jed’s painful past and her own secret keeping her heart from falling in love again, can these two get their act together for a HEA? Can Sam say goodbye to the routine and start anew in small-town? HIGHLIGHTS: The fresh, first person/present tense style by the author really highlights the voice of the characters, brings them to life on the page. I loved Sam’s candidness and Jed’s sincerity (Ah, a hot, sensitive farmer!). I adored both characters. She layers in more of this town I've been reading about in the Deerbourne series (oh so perfectly, and adds more depth to some of the secondary cast of townsfolk! I liked seeing their personalities played up here). The love scenes are sexy but not too hot. A fresh, keep you in your seat read! Highly recommend.
