Forget Me? Not by Darlene Gardner

Updated Edition! Originally published by Harlequin Duets.

Amanda Baldwin isn't keen on eavesdroppers. Especially when the eavesdropper hears her fiancé call off their long-awaited wedding--after the invitations have already been sent!

Never mind that the eavesdropper, the irrepressible Zach Castelli, wants to help Amanda get over her heartache by showing her life on the wild side. Or that Zach is a bonafide hunk. He's her polar opposite, a beach bum who can't commit to anything and calls marriage the state of "unhappily ever after."

As her few weeks around Zach count down to an inevitable end, though, the question isn't whether Amanda will be able to forget her fiancé. It's whether she'll ever forget Zach.

I laughed so hard at some of Zach's comments, I thought I would cry. I absolutely loved this book so much. I can just imagine the meeting happening. He's in a sprouts place to meet his kinda flakey and very artsy sister for lunch when she doesn't show...and he can't help but overhear the conversation in the next booth. Being the tender-hearted sweetie he is, he can't leave when he hears her crying. And so it begins. I gotta tell ya, I really loved this one. I used to teach at the beach and could just imagine some of my friends being in this situation. I loved her misinterpretations of his job and what kind of un-dedicated beach bum she kind of thought he was. Amanda certainly changes from the beginning of the book to the end. I also laughed at what becomes of the Pauline-Paul connection. The closeness of this family was a wonderful depiction of love. I liked how the world revolved around each other for them. The Outer Banks was also mentioned, so thumbs up on my favorite place in the world. ARC provided in exchange for honest review.
