Forget You by Charlene McSuede

Celeste Lambert, former queen of the daytime drama, and current trophy girlfriend to the powerful Tony DelMario, has problems. Her boyfriend thinks she sold his business secrets to his competitors. Even worse, she’s pretty convinced he’s trying to kill her because of it. So Celeste does what any good soap opera queen would do. She develops a convenient case of amnesia, in order to buy time to gather the money she needs to escape him for good.

Tony DelMario has problems of his own. A hit- and-run driver put a two year hole in his fiancés memory that Tony is desperate to fill. All the attention in the world isn’t helping her remember how much she used to love him, and it isn’t putting a damper on her new found defiance either. One thing he’s quick to remind Celeste of is that she agreed to a domestic discipline relationship, meaning he has no problem putting her over his knee for a spanking when she misbehaves, no matter how little she remembers him.

It doesn’t take long for Celeste’s fake amnesia to uncover a lot more problems in their relationship, specifically the fact that her fiancé doesn’t even seem to like her that much. Meanwhile, Tony misses the woman he lost, but is more than intrigued by the new one that replaced her. Celeste, for her part, still loves the man who might have tried to kill her. But there are some things that love can’t fix, and Celeste needs to decide whether to trust Tony again, or forget him for real.

I have to say this, out of all the books that I have read this month, this one is by far my favorite. Almost to the point of being on my top 10 of 2015. This book caught me completely off guard with how drawn into the story I was, right from the start! This is seriously a case of I couldn’t do anything until I found out what was going to happen next. And then, once I thought I had it all figured out, another twist happened! But it was so balanced, I didn’t feel like I was lost, or confused. I just knew I couldn’t get enough! Usually, I don’t enjoy books where it’s constant twists and turns, but with this author, they did it in such a great way that I just couldn’t get enough of it! Everything about this story I loved, and this author is now on my “to read list” and I will be searching through their backlist to find more! I completely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a romance, with a bunch of suspense, and an overall great story. Reviewed by Crystal Marie for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy provided for review*

An enjoyable story with a strong plot. Charlene believes that her fiancé Tony, attempted to have her murdered. She fakes amnesia in an attempt to solve the mystery and to protect herself. There are a lot of twists and turns within the plot that maintain the reader’s interest. I did not like Tony in the slightest and felt Celleste’s anguish at having to be in his company, a testament to the author’s ability.

Cute, clever story.  I really enjoyed the set-up and the heroine’s creativity and intelligence in coming up with her plan.  I liked the complexities of the relationship and the tension between the hero and heroine.  The heroine was not only smart and likable, but also developed as a character over the course of the story, discovering she’d given up a lot of who she really was in order to please and be with the hero.  She learned to have more faith in herself, and be who she wanted to be.  That was all very well done.  There were two main reasons this book wasn’t a five-star read for me.  First, there was an over-reliance on coincidence to propel the plot.  Without giving too much away, let me just say that our heroine just happens to be in the right—or wrong—place, at the right—or wrong—time to hear something ‘incriminating’—twice!  Second, the ending, to me, didn’t quite fit with the rest of the book.  The way the characters changed was a little much.  The hero, in particular, just didn’t behave in a way I found consistent with his earlier actions (don’t get me wrong, I love a little groveling, but he just wasn’t doing it the way I thought he would, given all his alpha behavior before…).  It was sweet, but I didn’t find it entirely satisfying, since it felt a bit out of place.  But despite any issues I had with it, this was, overall, a really fun read, and I would recommend it.  *I recieved this book from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.*

Wonderful Story!!  Celeste is in the hospital, recovering from being involved in a hit and run.  When her fiancé, Tony comes in, she pretends to have amnesia.  Why, you might ask? Because Celeste believes that Tony tried to kill her.  There are misunderstandings all the way around, but in the end, there is a HEA.  I love the mystery of figuring out who is trying to kill Celeste. I give this 5 stars.

This was a great story! It really had a whole lot of mystery and intrigue! You had a bit of the mob, a major blow-up in a relationship, an attempted murder and some pretend amnesia!! It was quite a page turner and I really enjoyed it! I would have liked a bit more spanking in the present part of the story, most of it was described when the two characters were reflecting on the past. Definitely well worth the read!

This is one of my favorite stories that I have read lately. The book was entertaining and engaging from the first sentence. I loved Tony and Celeste as a couple! As Celeste is faking amnesia because she thinks Tony might be trying to kill her, she is also reflecting on how she changed over the course of their relationship. Tony and Celeste both grow from the mistakes they made in the relationships and throughout the book you are rooting for them individually and as a couple. Not a lot of spanking scenes but enjoyed the ones the story did have. I would highly recommend this book- great book with an engaging plot and entertaining couple.

MYSTERY ~ SUSPENSE ~ ROMANCE This story kept me captivated and the plot with its twist and turns kept the pages turning. Celeste Lambert was resourceful and proved she was more ingenious than given credit for. Tony DelMario underestimated three important women in his life, Sophia, his mother, Donna, his personal assistant and Celeste his fiancée. So many incidences set this story into motion, leaving questions and doubts and shattering love and trust.  Who is the villain for real and why? Can acting be more than a profession, especially when you feel your life is in danger. The dialogue is entertaining and the characters each add their own spin to this story.
