Overview

Forgetting the Past by Brenda Kennedy

When Ava Emerson wakes up from a coma, she has no memory of the past 25 years. The only things she knows are the confusing stories told to her by her split family and her two best friends, Chase and Skylar. Learning that her husband, Connor, died in the car accident that caused her amnesia, Ava is sad and heartbroken.

When her nightmares become terrifying memories, Ava becomes determined to move on and start a new life for herself, away from the town that holds the secrets to her past.

With the encouragement of Chase, Ava and Skylar open a bed and breakfast together in the heart of Savannah, Georgia.

When a tall, dark, and handsome Xander Jamison walks into her life, will Ava feel safe enough to let him into her broken and empty life? Will Ava be able to move on and live her life free of a haunting past? Is Xander the man whom Ava thinks he is? Or does he hold his own secrets?

This not a book! I'd call it act one of a three, or more, act play. I'm it had not been a free read, I'd feel ripped off. Too bad the author has so little confidence in her/his skills the they must stoop to subtrifuge, to sell their next story.

This is not a completed story. Dont waste your time unless you intend to buy another book or two for a finished story. In general it was decently written although vharacter development is weak and the author leaves pretty large plot holes.

Switching view points can be distracting. The ending is abrupt.

Authors, the best books are series that can also be stand alone. I really was getting into the whole essence of the book until I Felt like I had been hit by a Mack Truck at the last page of your book. I will avoid your books because of poor editorial judgement which you do have control over. I am very disappointed.

Overall concept is good however, story needs to flow better. Too many loose ends as well as character development.

I thought this book was a very good read however it was only 138 pages. I would like to get the rest of the books but it gets expensive when you pay 3.99 for 138 pages. I'm unsure if I will purchase the rest. Also I would consider this book to be a cliffhanger.

This book was all over the place. It jumped from one thing to the next without explanation. Why was the dad with connor's co-worker, you left the flowers at the grave, and what happen with Connor mother? So many more thing left unanswered. I feel like the author was so worried about the next book they didn't finish this one. The original story line was good enough, no need for the cancer guy. That's all!

Another great book from this author I really recommend this book yes it's a cliff hanger which was mention at the start but an excellent story I won't spoil it by saying much but from a person with amnesia to start a new life else where as an inn keeper of a bed and breakfast flash backs of prior life keep happening, I really hope she remembers her past life as a nurse but keeps the inn going A true Texas fan

Really good book. Just a little more would have made the book sweet. But I would have liked for it to be a complete novel. Please finish it soon.
