One of the best books of its type I have read. The lessons were easy to follow, and provided the information I needed without digressing into theoretical developments that I did not really need for a refresher.

This book is really easy to understand. It does not assume you already know algebra. It teaches even better than my algebra teachers in high school- at lest I think so! I would reccommend it to those who are shy of algebra or math in general.

I am both a high school mathematics teacher and an adjunct college math instructor with 24 years of teaching experience. One recurring theme that I find in my students who struggle with mathematics courses which come 'after' algebra is that THEY TEND TO FORGET THEIR ALGEBRA! Algebra forms the foundation for so many math courses that forgetting it puts the student into a world of hurt. This particular book is excellent at re-introducing many algebra topics in a nutruring environment to those in need of review. I recommend this book to my students who need to review but do not have the time to take another course. The book is really set up for self-study and there are full solutions to all problems at the end of the book. If you need to regain or refresh your algebra skills, I can think of no better book to use than this one.

I did this book and within a month I was getting all A's in my algebra class. It's wonderful if you need to brush up. I would tell anyone who needs extra help in math to buy it.

If you've forgotten, or were never really quite sure the first time around, this is the book for you. To summarize, IT'S EXCELLENT. Along with being easy to read and understand, the numerous practice exercises ensure that you do in-deed GET IT.
