What if you grew up thinking you didn't deserve love, that you were unworthy of affection.... Jessica has had her share of parties and guys, living in the shadow of her best friend and the shame of her parents, she decides its time to grow up. She embarks on a new journey, across the ocean! New to London, she works her but off at her job, and being a good girl. She's sassy, loyal and fierce, trying hard to change her life around and be responsible. But the boy she thought she left behind seems to be everywhere she looks. Parker is known to the world as a gentleman and smart businessman. But behind closed doors he's not what he seems to be. He has a dark and troubled past that he keeps hidden and buried. He's a self made man, and does everything in his power to stay out of the lime light and be constantly in control. But the girl who make him lose his hard earned control seems to be the one he cant escape. But the more he fights it, the more he questions if he really wants to...This was a great story about two troubled people finding each other and discovering that they deserve love. That their past helped mold them into who they are today, but doesn't need to dictate who they will become. Parker is the sexy panty melting mix of naughty and nice, while Jess helps loosen him up and be happy. They are a great couple that you couldn't help but route for! While this book is a stand alone, I would recommend reading the first book BEFORE this one, as the main characters are mentioned as secondary's and you have more knowledge of the back stories. I loved the last book and I loved this one just as much, if not more! Cant wait for Dani and tattoo guy's story! I received this book in exchange for an honest review. *4.25 Stars*

GJRA. Had to force myself to read this to its end, 152 pages. The story was good but the cursing, dirty talk, God's name in vane and really explicit sex got boring. I'm not a prude, but why is all that necessary to a good romance, maybe its just to make the story longer. It also didn't have a really good ending for me. GJRA

The book tells a story of Jessica and Parker, both of whom have a need for redemption and fear of affection. They did not get enough love from their parents and that made them believe that they are not worthy of love. Having been rebellious in their youth they are now trying to forget about the infamous past. As they got hurt too many times, they learned not to trust anyone. Jessica loves freedom. She turns everything on their head, always sees something good in everything. She loves life, she’s optimistic and spontaneous. On the other hand, Parker is obsessed with control, perfection and power. But, as the old saying goes, opposites attract. Although they both tried to avoid each other, they cannot resist the desire anymore. There is something between them they cannot control. Led by love, they learn to trust each other and they slowly open themselves. Talking about the past is kind of a therapy they both needed. But can they still trust each other after they learned about their infamous past? And were both of them really honest? This is not only a love story, but also a novel about difficult childhood, lack of love from parents, hanging out with the wrong crowd and cage fights. It is full of passion, romance and action. The characters are complex and well-developed. I enjoyed reading the book and it was difficult to put it down. I definitely recommend it!

This book tells the story of Jessica and Parker, two people who think they are too damaged to deserve love. Parker had previously defended Jessica in a bar incident, which resulted in her having a broken leg. During her healing, Parker helped care for her and they grew close, but never gave in to the sexual desire they felt. Parker returned to London to save his family's company, and Jessica lands her after-college dream job working for a museum. Through a little plotting by Jessica's roommate, Dani, they are thrown back together and the sexual tension resurfaces. The rest of the book shows them breaking down each other's defenses to allow the other in to their hearts. What I like most about the book is how it captures the feeling of being in your mid-twenties and struggling with leaving the party life of college behind and becoming a responsible adult. I think many who attended university will relate to that struggle. In relationships, it's also a tumultuous time, when you meet someone and you want to be engulfed by them. Falling in love in your twenties is fast, sexually fueled, and confusing. The author captures this quite well in both Jessica and Parker. The conflicts in the book are mostly internal, with a minor incident at the end that gives a little more insight to everything Parker is trying to conceal. It was really nice that it was not a book where the couple breaks up and gets back together constantly, because while that does happen in real life, it doesn't happen to every relationship. It's possible to stay together and move past your issues without breaking up after every fight. I didn't have a hard time getting through the book, it was a relatively quick and easy read. The sex scenes were lively and nicely detailed. The ability to relate to the characters keeps you going through the story to see that they have a chance at happily ever after. If you are looking for something that isn't too complicated or overwrought with conflict, this is the book for you. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It's not necessary to read Lost in Us to read this one.

Another great romance from Layla Hagen. Love the sparks that Jessica and Parker create and fight, makes for a fun ride. Jessica has never felt worthy, everyone seems to fix all of her problems and continues to tell her she won't amount to anything. Well, she is going to prove them wrong. As she graduated from Stanford she got found a job in London at a museum and ventured out on her own away from her family and friends. Parker appears to be the perfect gentleman and when he meets Jessica, well, he finds it hard to stay away from her but he tries. When Jessica ends up in London where he lives and works, it's even harder to keep his distance, he is drawn to how she lights up a room and no matter what bad things happen, she always finds the positive. Parker is hiding a past that makes him believe he is unworthy. Can Jessica push past Parker's barriers? Will Jessica be able to believe she is good enough for Parker?

Sensual, satisfying, and entertaining Favorite Quotes: “There’s only one conclusion for you to reach: we might be onto something beautiful.” “I want you to be my everything, Jessica,”  “I’ve never wanted to give a man everything before.  Until now.  I want to give him my heart, my soul, along with all of the things I never knew were mine to give away.  I want the same from him too.  I want it all.” “There’s no weapon more effective than words.  They lash deep wounds that can cripple in a second and heal excruciatingly slow, sometimes not at all.  Because words can’t be unheard.  Or forgotten.” My Review: I read this book immediately after reading the first in the series, Lost In Us, and didn’t expect I would enjoy the character of Jess, as she was not all that trustworthy or responsible in the first book.  Silly me, I should have had more faith in this talented author… although, in my defense, this is only my second time reading her marvelous work.  I lapped both books up like a dehydrated camel, all 546 pages, and like a thirsty camel, I wished for more.  Either book could be read as a stand-alone, which I totally appreciate, although I did enjoy getting a little more of the Serena and James story from Lost in Us.  And despite my misgivings at the start, I found I actually enjoyed this book even more than I did the first one.  Sensual, addictive, and beguiling.  I had a hard time putting it down.

Layla Hagen did it again! Another amazing, steamy read that had me forgetting the real world until the very end! Jessica and Parker intrigued me in book one, Lost in Us, and I couldn’t wait to read their story. Hagen didn’t disappoint! Jessica, a California party girl gets her dream job in London after graduation and is determined to prove to herself and everyone else that she can be a responsible adult. Parker is back in London and is fighting to save his family’s business while fighting his own personal demons. The characters were so well developed with a devastating past they had to overcome. And this is why I loved this book so much, their past, how they connected with each other because of their past, and how they healed each other to find their well-deserved happy ending. Jessica and Parker will definitely stay with me for a long time. With impeccable writing and the talent to hook the reader from beginning to end, Hagen delivered another great addition to the Lost series.  *I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.*

I absolutely loved, loved, loved - Found in Us by Layla Hagen. Hagen has a gift for writing and a talent so special as she creates not only a wonderfully indulging story but she writes in an artform that will captivate her audience and leave them wanting more, and more and need I say more. Jessica meets Parker, Parker punches guy in face, Parker and Jessica go there separate ways ... until destiny forces the two together, or need I say Jessica's roommate/Parker's cousin .... The attraction and chemistry between the two is undeniable and is a force to be reckoned with. Soon, they can't keep their hands off each other and passion takes over. The chemistry between the two is like no other and the way Hagen writes is an erotic masterpiece. The love scenes are hot, hot, hot and sizzling to the core. Hagen will rock your world, leave you breathless, wet and wanting more. She pushes the limit like no other and her characters know no boundaries. They will test each other to their farthest limits and push them over the edge into a world they only dream of ... until a betrayl that is so shocking will leave you shattered, stunned and heartbroken. Will Jessica and Parker be able to overcome the betrayl or will they lose the love they found in each other? Definite must read, definite addition to your To-Be-Read-Shelf.

Jessica and Parker's story continues with them in London.  Jessica is trying to find her way with her new job in a new country.  Parker is trying to decide if he can take a chance on Jessica since she is known for her free spirit ways. We find out the secrets both have been keeping and see them both change for the better. The plot was well told and was easy to follow.  We saw Dani interspersed throughout the story since she is now Jessica's roommate.  It will be interesting to see where Dani's story goes. If you liked the novella and first book in this series, this one will be right up your alley.

What an enjoyable read! I loved every minute of it! Layla Hagen has a great series on her hands and I loved reading Found In Us.  We get to meet back up with Jessica who is now in London, trying to adjust to new life style, new job, being in a new country!  She is trying to be a “good girl” in her new surroundings, but Parker certainly makes that difficult for her. She is still hurt over the fact that he liked her one second and rejected her the next. Parker is all about work, saving the family business, and trying to keep his mind off of Jessica, but there is something about her that keeps drawing him in.  Together these two are definitely dynamite. While there is so much chemistry there, there are things that are kept hidden, secrets that could ruin a relationship forever. Can they work through the secrets in order to make a future?   If you are looking for a steamy read that has amazing appeal and a has a story line so great you won’t be able to put it down,  pick Found In Us up today!

I received this book for free by the author, for an honest review. Thank you. As this author is new to me, I was pleasantly surprised with the writing from Layla Hagen. I loved reading about Parker & Jessica's story. I had not read the first in the series, Lost in Us, but it didn’t matter; this book was so well written it could be a stand alone. I loved that she gave you POV’s from both Parker and Jessica. You got to know the characters and why they avoided each other. As cute as that was, when they finally gave into the lust, they gave into the lust! It was a hot read. It was so hot that I had a hard time putting it down. Let’s just say, staying up till 3am to finish it and having to get up at 5:30am, was worth it to me! I would suggest this to my friends and family to read. I give this book 4.5 star.
