Colouring-in books are important in any child's development as they encourage visualisation, good hand-eye co-ordination and dexterity. This book has the added advantage in that it consists of four stories that help to maintain the child's interest and each story has an underlying message aimed at guiding the child's outlook on life.

Barney's 4 x 4
As any bear will tell you, hunting for honey is hard work so Barney buys a 4 X 4 and after he has learnt to drive it he uses it to hunt for honey. When the 4 X 4 breaks down Barney follows his trail back home. On the way he learns an important lesson: we must always consider others, especially when we're enjoying ourselves.
Horrible Howard
Horrible Howard learns that other people react to our behaviour and so we can affect the way that people behave towards us by our attitude towards them. Being unfriendly repels people while being friendly attracts them. What is important though, is that it's up to us to make the first move.
Hunting for Honey
Barney hunts for honey in his car and his airplane. When he's eaten his fill of the honey he finds, he leaves the rest for his friends. One day Barney falls into a large honey pot but is saved from coming to a sticky ending when his friends arrive. He realises that we can't exist without others.
Saving Mouse
Tortoise doesn't realise that often other people don't see us as we see ourselves. Mouse is saved from Cheetah when Tortoise falls on Cheetah's head and he thinks that he has saved Mouse whereas everyone else knows what really happened.
