This book was actually a reading assignment for an online class and I enjoyed reading it. It was easy to follow and full of information.

With the exception of "Nothing prevents us telling tales" which is alright, I guess, but I like keeping "myth" in the word, so "diamythologein" - telling myths. Other than that, freakin' fantastic scholarship.
Seriously, though. This is a great book. It contains the "Euthyphro", the "Crito", the "Apology" (Plato's), and Aristophanes' "Clouds". Top notch literal translations, excellent footnotes, very readable translations, not much else I can say about it. I don't want to rate the texts, because that would be to rate the original author and not the translator, which is all I'm doing here. the translations are great, no question. I haven't come across better ones. They have the Stephanus pagination, a superb introduction... It's an awesome book if you need any one of these four texts. Well worth having.
