Overview

This children’s story is about a turtle named Francis, who falls into a deep sleep on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay. His dreams take him to Arizona, where he learns about life in the South West. He meets new friends, learns about Native American culture, explores new areas, and goes on the journey of a lifetime, only to wake up back in Maryland, safe and sound. Francis learns to follow his dreams, and to keep an open mind when visiting new places. He learns all about the Native Americans of this region, and some of their traditions. He meets new friends, and learns how they survive in the dry desert. New vocabulary is described at the end of the book in the glossary, and English and Spanish descriptions are provided. Francis Falls Asleep encourages our kids to dream, and to follow their dreams.
This fictional story is written in both English and Spanish, and the text is color-coded for a simplified translation using Superfly Productions -Tinted Translation.
