Overview

Free Agent by Roz Lee

The stress of opening her own specialty bakery has kept Brooke tied up in knots, just not the kind she would prefer. When she spies the hunk of a Dom across the crowded bar, she’s intrigued, but his wristband indicates he’s off limits. That doesn’t stop her from doing the most daring thing she’s ever done to snag a man’s attention, but when things escalate beyond even her wildest imaginings, she can’t get out of there fast enough.
His contract with the Mustangs is set to expire at the end of the season, and third baseman, Todd Stevens is holding out for a longer, more lucrative deal as a free agent. Convinced more money and a new city will cure what ails him, he isn’t looking for a long-term relationship, much less a one-time hookup with a sub who doesn’t know her place. Unfortunately, the little minx eyeing him from across the room might just be the one to make him change his mind.

About the Author

USA Today Best-Selling author Roz Lee is the author of twenty erotic romances. The first, The Lust Boat, was born of an idea acquired while on a Caribbean cruise with her family and soon blossomed into a five book series published by Red Sage. Following her love of baseball, she turned her attention to sexy athletes in tight pants, writing the critically acclaimed Mustangs Baseball series. Roz has been married to her best friend, and high school sweetheart, for over three decades. Roz and her husband have two grown daughters (and a new Son-in-law) they couldn’t be more proud of. Even though Roz has lived on both coasts, her heart lies in between, in Texas. A Texan by birth, she can trace her family back to the Republic of Texas. With roots that deep, she says, “You can’t ever really leave.” When Roz isn’t writing, she’s reading, or traipsing around the country on one adventure or another. No trip is too small, no tourist trap too cheesy, and no road unworthy of travel. Visit Roz’s website – www.RozLee.net

Wasnt much in the bdsm. Some kink but nothing hardcore. Rushed 6 month affair. Ok for a free read

If you like your baseball and your explicit BDSM in bakery-sized bites, then this (currently) FREE short story is a home run. I would have liked more detail about Todd's pleasure, and there isn't the full emotional development you find in a full-length novel, but I still enjoyed this very much.

Roz Lee hits a homer with this novella length introduction to her Mustangs Baseball series. Todd is adorable as a player uncertain of his career prospects and suddenly realising he’s lonely for female companionship. But with his time in Dallas drawing to a close, the timing of Brooke’s unexpected arrival in his life couldn’t be worse. With a time limit on their relationship, Todd is determined not to get emotionally involved, but when he looks into Brooke’s beautiful blue eyes, how can he keep a shield on his heart. If FREE AGENT is an indication of what’s to come in future Mustang books, I’m definitely all in!

I enjoyed this hot fast paced story starting a new series for Roz Lee. There was good characterization for the main characters and motivation was clear. I liked that although the story was fairly predictable there were a couple twists and turns along the way.  I would recommend this story for mature audiences only contains some BDSM

I didnt care for this book. Im not into sharing, and that justput me off. Nothing wrong with the bdsmif thats whatyoulike, bnut i think sharing is just nasty, without it, this book might have been okay. I wish i could have given itzero stars instead of the one.

Loved it. Wish it was longer.

This deviates from what we call norm, hence the word deviant. I do not understand the need for someone to want to be subjugated. It is against human nature! Though it does explain some seemingly strong women's subservient behavior when they are around their partner and how they switch to the opposite role around others. There's no indication that this is a BDSM novella. 60 pages of insight into a difference Sub-culture.

Story was great for me until he decides to invite another Dom into the mix. Personally for me sharing & romance don't mix. That scene ruined it for me. At least it was a free read.
