I am a retired fishing guide and read a lot these days. Most of my reading is concerning our current state of affairs in our nation and outdoor related topics. My grandson left this book over the weekend and told me it was a paperback version of "The Defense Of Thaddeus Ledbetter". I picked it up to glance through and haven't put it down! We all need a little laughter in our lives and this kid Thaddeus has more ideas that you can emagine. He has gotten himself in a whole bunch of trouble just trying to make his school a better place to learn. He has most of the students and all of the faculty mad at him and he now finds himself stuck with in school suspension. You will laugh the moment you pick this book up. If you are my age, you can see your own grandchildren doing so of the same things. His fire drill and parking recommendations for the teachers are a real hoot! Buy it, read it and laugh a little. Makes a great gift for anyone.
I was in Barnes & Noble this past weekend and noticed the book "Free Thaddeus" and picked it up. It is a new release of the funniest book I have ever read! If you enjoyed the Diary of A Wimpy Kid series, you will love this book. It is a new release of "In Defense Of Thaddeus Ledbetter" and is a must read for kids of ALL ages. When it first came out, I got a copy from my grandfather. He said he had never laughed so much in his life so I read it! I loved it! Thaddeus is a real cool kid. Some of his fellow students and most of the faculty at his school think he is weird; but, once you get to know him you love him and want to help him get out of his in-school suspension that he is in for the rest of the year. Yes, the things he did were strange; but, all designed to make his school a better place to learn and just some of his ideas will make you laugh out loud! I don't care if you are eight or eighty, you will LAUGH A Lot when you read this book! I came home and am reading it agin. I hope the author John Gosselink writes another book.
