Eighth Day Village of the Sun is one such community projected into the future. Set beside the sea, the village has embraced spiritual and humanistic values. They are led by Baba Randall, a holy man who hears of the collapse of nations beyond the walls. Civilization is breaking down. Riots, shortages, war, and coups abound. A contingent of leaders is headed his way asking for help. Not all want help, some are ready to steal technology to maintain their control over the world's population.
