i find Frida Kahlo fascinating. I felt this even before many others discovered her, with the release of the biographical movie. i have Mexican-made reproductions of her work in my office cubicle & people look at them oddly if they are not knowedgeable about her. this book is complete without getting bogged down in too much detail & is historically accurate concerning the production of her art. for an inexpensive book, it has good quality photos, paper & bio details. it is a gppd spurce for the reader that wants to learn more about the artist without academic studying. my only wish is the it was slightly larger so the prints of her paintings would be more clear as there is a great deal of details.

i really enjoyed this book and recomend to everyone to read it. unlike my fellow classmates who could not understand why this woman would paint, as they said, such disturbing things, i fell in love with every painting that i saw in this book and with the ones i find in other book about her and her art.
